You, and Red Badger are telling me atomic bombs which are nuclear fission bombs are not nuclear. I don’t think anything that operates with nuclear fission isn’t nuclear. Perhaps you can address that.
The nuclear device requires at least an atomic device to detonate, whereas an atomic device doesn’t require either an atomic nor nuclear device to detonate.
Yields are also different by several orders of magnitude for the critical mass utilized.

There are two types of nuclear bombs. The first is a fission weapon. The original atomic bombs were of this design. The work by splitting uranium atoms.
The later type is a fusion bomb. They work by forcing atomic particles together. They are orders of magnitude more powerful.
