For a guy who lied about his military service, Richard Blumenthal is sounding mighty bellicose this morning.
Appearing on Morning Joe today, the Dem senator from Connecticut said:
“We are facing a continuing act of war by Vladimir Putin. He has tried to divide us, cause disarray, and he will stop at nothing to destroy these Western democracies.”

As a combat veteran of Vietnam, Blumenthal knows war.
Senators, in general, are long on rhetoric and short on action. Democrat senators even more so. They are as useless as teats on a boar hog.
Why are you insulting Blumenthal? He and Brian Williams were the first ones to land on the moon. You should give him a little credit for that.

We face "a continuing act of war from Russia," and yet we've been sending NASA crews to the International Space Station on Russian rockets since 2011?
And on most of those NASA missions, U.S. military personnel have been reporting to RUSSIAN mission commanders.
Blumenthal is a really good banjo player. I saw him play in a Burt Reynolds movie when he was younger.

OK, say it was an act of war. Russia cannot hope to compete with us on any measure save one, they have as many nukes as we do. So what is Trump doing in Finland now? He is talking publicly about nukes while insisting on having a conversation in private, which is the only way to admonish a man that is so invested in “mine is bigger than yours” without having to go to war.
He should know because he WATCHED all those Vietnam movies.

Well, when all this perpetratin’ was goin’ on, the administration in power took powerful steps to stop it, like telling Putin to ‘cut it out’, and ordering concerned agencies to ‘stand down’ rather than investigate.
Now it’s a big deal.
