An Arkansas man who beat and raped a 69-year-old woman leaving her so badly injured that parts of her arms and legs had to be amputated has been sentenced to life in prison.
A jury on Thursday found 31-year-old Charles Allen Rickman of Gentry guilty of aggravated residential burglary, kidnapping, battery and two counts of rape. A judge sentenced Rickman to four life sentences plus 20 years, to run consecutively.
Testimony showed Rickman pretended to have car trouble and forced his way into the woman's home last October. She had met Rickman when he helped a painter she hired.
She testified that Rickman blindfolded her, tied her hands and feet — cutting off her circulation — and raped and beat her in the hourslong ordeal.

I was expecting middle name “Wayne” or maybe “Lee,” but being “guilty from Gentry” sure has a ring to it.

Damn, I wish we had back the time when human excrement such as this were given the death sentence and it was carried out promptly.

Gentry is a sleepy little town of about 3,500 people, not far from the mega-metropolis of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, population 15,000 or so.
It’s hard to imagine someone in a small town like that doing this kind of thing.
We need to get back what we once had. The ability to carry out the sentence that the person deserves, not what the court system decrees. This mass of cytoplasm would be taken out to the public square, shackeled, and turned over to the public.
After a day or so, the garbage collectors would be called to cart away the mess to the pig farm.

Gentry sounds like gantry which is a type of crane, which would do what needs to be done just fine.
Yes, I do mean folks like that.
These are small communities and most folks either know everyone else in town, or at least know of them.
If you’ve lived there you’ve gone to school with many of them.
This guy is a rabid animal. He needs to be put down.

His time in prison will make him pray for death. Criminals have a justice system in place for scum like this.
Too bad we can’t soon call him The Late Charles Allen Rickman.
Those small town kids stark mixing the pain pills with the crystal meth and the hard liquor, and there is no telling what depravity they may pursue.
If they’re doing that, I would agree that this sort of thing could happen at some point.
