All twelve members of a soccer team and their coach have been rescued from a cave in Thailand where they have been trapped for nearly two weeks, Thai Navy Seals have confirmed.
The soccer team of 12 boys, ages 11 to 16, and their coach, 25, went missing late last month while on an excursion. They were found in the Tham Luang cave complex about 10 days into the search.
It took three missions, and elite military and divers from several countries, to remove all the boys and their coach. The first rescue took place on Sunday. Each boy needed to be brought out individually by a team of two divers.
One ex-Thai Navy SEAL died while delivering oxygen tanks to prepare for the rescue.
Those who were rescued have been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. According to a report by CBS News, the boys are expected to spend a week in the hospital.
Send the coach a pink slip then have him investigated in this matter. He belongs nowhere near a position of responsibility.
I'm very suspicious by nature and my Spidey Sense says he was trying to kill these kids and possibly himself.
If.
I agree with you ,,, hard to believe the number of SNOWFLAKES here .
Congratulations. You win the prize for dumbest post on the thread. If thats the case, 1) why did he go looking for the kids when they went missing? (latest reports are he didn’t take them there; he went looking for them), 2) why did he give up his food and keep them alive?
He’s a hero. And he will be treated like one.
Stay out of any cave you have to squeeze through or crawl on your belly.
Yeh, for sure. However, keeping in mind the words boy and dumb are synonyms, I hope the cave entrance is sealed ASAP.
I agree, and I don't think the coach has earned the "hero" moniker. neither does the volunteer fireman arson who is the first on "his" scene to put out the raging fire.
Moreover, the rising water blocked the way they came in and they were forced deeper and deeper just to find a place that wasn’t underwater or becoming so.
twenty year olds still lack the judgement that us more mature folks have. I think the coach will feel much guilt and shame so it is important for everyone to show him mercy and understanding.
The true hero is the guy who drowned during the prep work. I expect he’ll be forgotten, but frankly they should put up a memorial for him.
Yep, kinda takes the wind out of the celebration. Clearly it's a fantastic feat and everyone should be overjoyed the boys are safe. However, all of this was avoidable. I wouldn't support taking young kids on a winter mountain climb and I wouldn't support taking them into a risky cave trip either.
Troll
No matter what the initial mistake, he kept 12 boys alive with no food and no water in absolutely pitch blackness for two weeks. I can’t even imagine what that would be like. Comparing him to an arsonist fireman is absurd.
On what do you base those assertions?
My happiness at the boys and coach being rescued is quite tempered by the death of the Thai SEAL diver trying to save them. I certainly hope that he is celebrated as a hero and that at least some of the boys name a son for this brave man.
Oh fer cryin’ out loud. Read the next friggin post dumbass...#42.
Oh...and bite me.
You actually accused the coach, who is a monk, of trying to willfully murder these boys. And then you immediately follow up with “oh never mind”. Who is the dumbass exactly?
where is the Movie about this?
do I have to do this by myself
