(2014) 'Professional adventurer' to live on an ICEBERG for a year to highlight climate change
Daily Mail ^ | 8/24/14 | Damien Gayle

A self-styled adventurer is to spend a year living on a melting iceberg off the coast of Greenland to try to draw attention to climate change.

In spring next year Alex Bellini, 36, will find a suitable iceberg off the north west of Greenland where he will remain until it melts.

He hopes his stunt will raise awareness of the impact of global warming, which the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) recently warned is 'widespread and consequential'.

Wait!! I thought the libs wanted to *abolish* ICE.

Poor retards...they can’t make up their minds.

Gonna be really hard to get a hot meal, or a hot shower, living on that thing.

Oh well, stupid people play stupid games.

I wonder what his ‘foot print’ will be when visitors, supplies, etc are brought out to him? Seems to me he’s causing the very pollution which contributes to the issues he’s trying to bring awareness to. Makes no sense. I suppose it’s ok for him to do this hypocritical act because he’s a self centered idiot needing attention.

I saw a ducumentary about some real researcher who followed a real iceberg - kept it under observation from when it split off its ice sheet - wandred around in a bay full of ice and other bergs, then finally hitting the ocean and traveling south. That whole process took quite a while. He Continued tracking/observing til it was finally melted away.

Those things roll over alot as they change shape/erode and the buoyancy center shifts drastically.

One dead leftist may result if this one ‘stays’ on it as claimed.

He'll be poo-pin in the ocean, if he pees on the iceberg he may speed up his demise. who's checking on him and how much fuel will be burned to rescue his dumb carcase . Where's greenpeace when you really need them? I have more and I mean a lot more respect for the guy who jumped out of a plane without a parachute and landed in a net than this idiot.. about as dumb as the guy who walked off into the alaskain wilderness a few decades ago.. believing without an ounce of eperience he could " live off the land" He almost starved to death but instead ate the wrong wild berries and sped up his demise..

Won’t it melt faster with him living on it?

Not a good idea. Icebergs will suddenly flip as they melt.

Or it rolls over.

All icebergs are melting. All of them.

That’s why they’re ice-bergs, and not ice-shelf.

Another leftwinger is living a lie. Imagine my shock.

Alex Bellini, trust fund baby ...

Adventure postponed until winter 2018

The mission.

In Winter 2018 Alex Bellini will be dropped on a tabular iceberg off the west coast of Greenland and, by the influence of the currents, he will be pushed southbound towards warmer water. The adventure will be conducted in hostile environment with temperature around 20 degree below zero.

It will be the journey of a lone man and the journey of the human kind on this Planet. Adrift.

(He writes) I strongly believe that human beings grow and get stronger when exposed to stress, volatility, fear and disorder. This new challenge will be the perfect environment to learn new skills with the hope to bring them back to my everyday challenges and make my life even more marvelous.

oh, the drama!! Whose taking odds on how soon the chosen burg will flip?

One new skill may very well be the iceberg equivalent of log rolling.

Sounds really, really stupid.

On the other hand, maybe he can get a go-fund-me page and milk this for big bucks for years.

Just pitch a tent on the ice berg and take lots of long “medical appointments” off of it.

How about living through the winter inland? -30 below not30 above. Or do it in the southern hemisphere where the ice burns are growing.

Stupid human tricks...

“...and, by the influence of the currents, he will be pushed southbound towards warmer water.”

And this proves climate change - how?

Not very Christian of me - but I hope this guy gets frostbite, loses both of his pinky toes, and has to get rescued after a month.

I was thinking similar to what you just wrote regarding the life of an ice berg, being if it moves south, it’s gotta melt.

My point is, this clown already knows it will melt for reasons ice bergs have been melting ever since Earth was created. It’s a natural occurrence the left is turning into propaganda for the benefit of the not-so-bright followers (useful idiots).

Any natural occurrence of the weather/climate can be turned into propaganda.

The saying: “There’s one born every minute” applies mainly to leftists.
