“Federal prosecutors concluded an 18-month investigation into a former congressional technology staffer on Tuesday by publicly debunking allegations — promoted by conservative media and President Trump — suggesting he was a Pakistani operative who stole government secrets with cover from House Democrats.”

Who ran the investigation? The DC police department? Debbie Blabbermouth Schultz’s brother? An FBI agent who is covering for the Dims? Who was interviewed and who did the investigators refuse to intervew? Is an interview with Xavier Bacerro under oath available for public inspection? How about an interview under oath from Debbie Blabbermouth Schultz?

From the Article:

"As part of an agreement with prosecutors, Imran Awan is set to plead guilty to a relatively minor offense unrelated to his work on Capitol Hill: making a false statement on a bank loan application. U.S. prosecutors said they would not recommend jail time."

No jail time?

Try pulling that off if you work for a Conservative Congressman.

"Awan was scheduled to pleaded guilty Tuesday morning before U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan."

Chutkan was nominated by Obama in 2013.

So where did the hard drive go?

Think logically.
Thing IG report.
Think what’s missing.
Do you think this was going to be litigated in this setting?
Case that implicates some of the most senior elected officials (treason) is being handled by the appropriate office.
Think NATIONAL SECURITY.

The part about "debunking" theories is total spin. Awan plead guilty to bank fraud. That crosses state lines, national boundaries, and opens the door for a RICO Act case. This may well be trading small fish for much bigger prey. The word "treason" has been tossed around quite a bit here. And justly so. I suspect soon you'll start seeing it tossed around in other media too. Watch for the domestic enemies to become even more shrill. Their rhetoric will grow even more violent. Panic mode engaged.

Our FBI and DoJ are either the most corrupt or else incompetent criminal investigation organizations in the history of law enforcement.

bagster…

Are you “Q” or are you “bagster?”

According to the archive, bagster has been on Free Republic since 1998, but has never posted an article.

Is “bagster” an inactive account you hacked into?

The office that conducted the investigation is led by Trump-nominated U.S. Attorney Jessie K. Liu.

Interesting.

Bank fraud charge and recommendation of no jail time.

Awans were banned from Congress in Feb 17 because they shared logons. But only charge with lying on a bank loan.

Unreal

But- the office that conducted the investigation is led by Trump-nominated U.S. Attorney Jessie K. Liu.

Lot more going on with AWAN then they are saying. Bet he was a CI, worked for CIA or something.

The Feds didn’t find any evidence...
1) never examined the mysterious laptop computer that was found in a “telephone booth” in the Capitol;
2) major server is said by the Sgt at Arms to have “disappeared”, with implication that a lookalike device had been substituted.
3) vast quantities of smashed hard drive parts found at an Awan residence.
Nope, no evidence found.

The article's deception isn't going to work.
Too many people know that the case in question had nothing whatsoever to do with the IT involvement.
This was to keep him in country, IMO.

Particularly, the Government has found no evidence that your client illegally removed House data from the House network or from House Members’ offices, stole the House Democratic Caucus Server, stole or destroyed House information technology equipment, or improperly accessed or transferred government information, including classified or sensitive information.

It doesn't say anything about the rest of the clan or if he knew what the rest of the clan was doing.

“”This is like giving Sherrill Mills immunity “”

I think you mean Cheryl Mills.

I wonder if we are going to be privy to what their investigation covered. How could anyone NOT see the criminality in everything those dudes touched? It was serious enough to arrest these crooks and yet they did nothing wrong. This is really, really rotten!!

Evidence has to be the most scarce commodity in this country right now. It simply doesn’t exist in our justice system because those investigating say it doesn’t! What’s to stop everyone from just doing as they darned well please and to heck with obeying any laws from now on?
