Remember he also interviewed mitt romney. Lee has zero chance. Trump is too smart to appoint a libertarian never trumper who voted for mcmullin.

I’m getting less and less enthused about Mike Lee.

Hope we can dodge that bullet.

We don’t need a NeverTrumper on the court.

Thanks Mike, but don’t you have some gardening or something else to do?

In this type of situation doesn’t Trump usually mention the person he’s NOT going to pick when talking to the press?

I read somewhere that he voted for McMuffin in the general. If so, he wanted Hillary appointing judges right now. He should not be allowed anywhere near the SC. His record of supporting Trump has been good lately; let’s keep him there, but keep that SC option open to keep him honest, and to get him to keep Romney in line.

97.43% life time American Conservative Union rating.

I will forgive Lee for being a moron about Trump since he is on our side on everything else.

I’m less concerned about Mike Lee turning into another David Souter than I would be someone else on that list whom I don’t know. Mike has been a reliable ally in the Senate since Trump has been elected unlike Flake, Corker and the nearly dead guy. He’ll be rock solid in his hearings and probably serve on the court probably for at least another 35 years.

I don’t like Lee’s antics at the convention either, but I’m more interested in solidifying the court for the next several decades than I am in settling scores.

No. Not Mike Lee. He may or may not be a great candidate for the SC, but we would lose another Republican Senate seat. Remember what happened to Jeff Sessions seat. Also would he be able to vote for himself? Wouldn’t we lose a vote?
