Rather, you’ve turned into an old fool. You wouldn’t know a flood of hate if it waved fists beneath your nose. God is protecting you from yourself by this just-bare victory.

If n00b refers to how recently the brain was turned on, you win that prize. Because there is no beating “never.”

Looks like I got a quacking n00b “last-worder”.
To: an amused spectator
Looks like you certainly aspire to that.

Once again, I've been here 21 years.
I went 500 replies with a "last-worder" one time. Or twice.

And in the meantime, because so many of the Trumpers are unfortunately not wanting to let their hate go, the victory does not progress. It’s all a hatefest, and the very way you are reacting is another example.

Wow, that’s what they used to call old enough to vote. Well you can be a “last worder” then, just the thing you wanted to call me. Wear it.

You're a blister.
You showed up after the work was done, n00b.

I sincerely hope we DO have a "crisis in democracy". we are NOT a democracy. Our founding fathers worked very very hard to avoid creating a democracy, they knew full well just how dangerous democracies could be.. they were students of history including both ancient and the more recent European histories. a few quick quotes from the web... Alexander Hamilton asserted that "We are now forming a Republican form of government. Real liberty is not found in the extremes of democracy, but in moderate governments. If we incline too much to democracy we shall soon shoot into a monarchy, or some other form of a dictatorship."4 Hamilton, in the last letter he ever wrote, warned that "our real diseaseis DEMOCRACY."3 Thomas Jefferson declared: "A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine." Benjamin Franklin had similar concerns of a democracy when he warned that Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote! After the Constitutional Convention was concluded, in 1787, a bystander inquired of Franklin: "Well, Doctor, what have we gota Republic or a Monarchy?" Franklin replied, "A Republic, if you can keep it." John Adams, our second president, wrote: Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. James Madison, the father of the Constitution wrote in Federalist Paper No. 10 that pure democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths.3 The Constitution itself, in Article IV, Section 4, declares: "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government. Obviously the Framers were not speaking of a political party, as no political parties existed at that time. The Pledge of Allegiance, although not a founding document, does strike the right chord when it asks Americans to "pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands"

Youre very welcome. One thing we lost was state governmrnts selecting their states US senators. Direct election waters down the representative republican protections against demon-crazy. See what its led to? McShame. Flake. A dozen more complete nut jobs at least.

I never would have thought that it would be necessary to research the politics of the owners/managers of the restaurants where we go to have a meal.
It’s not that difficult to get that information, so I have decided that from now on, I will only go to restaurants whose management agrees with me.
That means that I probably will be eating healthier and cleaner and more pleasant than ever before.
