Didn’t see you sneak in. Glad y’all are having a large time!
One of the kittens hangs out behind the shed...Ghost’s double...but I haven’t seen any of them in it. Ginger goes in there when she’s out, so maybe she’d told them to butt out. LOL!
I finally had to put a small bowl for food on top of one of the water barrels that is on the patio so mommy could get something to eat. And yes, I feed them too. sigh. And Ghost comes around or at least he did this morning. He seems to feel better now that the weather’s not so hot. I think he’s an older gentleman and the heat gets to him. :)
Yikes, 90s and muggy. Baaaaad combination! This morning it was 68 and muggy [86%] here and it just about got to me. Too cool for the AC and muggy on top of that. But, it was better than what you were suffering. I hope the soybeans get some rain soon. Now that China’s put a tariff on them out of retaliation, I wonder how it will affect their prices.
Aaaaaah, it could be that Ginger has let them know the shed is off limits. Poor lil kitties left with nowhere to stay dry.
hehehehe .... I figured you wouldn’t be able to resist feeding the kittens. Kinda hard to resist, huh?
High temps will get to any critters, no matter their age. It’s a shame how many pets around here die from heat exhaustion each summer. Our cats have been staying inside lately due to the heat.
Our A/C stays on day and night during summer, even if the nights cool off. We don’t keep the house cold but we keep the temp constant.
I don’t know what will happen regarding the price of soybeans. Ours are sold locally to Tyson for their feed mill here.
Ah, then. That’s great that there is a local market for the soybeans so the farmers don’t have to worry about politics interfering with their income!
It IS hard not to feed them, but I can’t do it forever, and I hope they’ll disperse when mama says enough is enough. I still want to have her spayed if Don doesn’t kill me. I tried to find a no-kill to take them, but we have so many abandoned pets here till they’re all filled to the brim. And I can’t catch these little wild indians.
We keep the temp constant too, but not chilly. Both of us are cold natured. And the fan of the AC goes constantly to keep things cooled without having to use the compressor so much. It’s like a refrigerator when it’s on. LOL!

We got just enough this evening to wet the road, but not enough to wet under vehicles.
I watched a Hallmark Mystery movie, and now for a soak. d:o)

We HOPE the price won’t be affected. Who knows what Tyson will do just for the heck of it, buttheads that they are?
I think no-kill shelters everywhere are overflowing. Look around at how many people these days are irresponsible with their children. They’re worse with pets.
Both of us are pretty warm natured but we still don’t keep the house chilly. Just cool enough to be able to tolerate it. The compressors don’t come on as much at night but they do come on at times. This is an old house, not well-insulated.
Pampering yourself. Good for you! Hopefully the relaxing evening will help you go to sleep early and quickly tonight. You’ll need energy tomorrow.

Now...I gotta go get some sleep. I haven’t seen ol’ Peaches in a while, so not sure if hubby put him out or not. Guess I’ll find out when I put my head on the pillow. LOL
