It's a racket. The smugglers tow them out to sea far enough for the NGOs to pick them up and take them to Italy and the good life.

Was surprised to hear about the Libyan coastguard. Since nothing else in Libya works since Obama and Hillary destroyed it, I'm not sure about the "coastguard"

These NGO's are funded through a web of Soros-related entities. See here

Just imagine if the Med sea wasn’t there, and instead there were just a couple markers along the desert sands...

There’s really no difference, at the end of the day; just like in Mexico, Soros’ little flunkies are ensuring the invasion of every successful western culture continues.

And they can’t wait to duplicate their efforts in Asian nations.

"people traffickers favour towing rubber boats full of migrants to the edge of Libya’s 12-mile territorial waters before setting them adrift."

Huh, just pick them up and return them from the port of exit.

It ain't hard. Word will get around that this doesn't work and it will stop.

The reverse is also true. Keep accepting and more will come.

It ain't hard.

The ships are under the flag of the Netherlands? They should be brought there.

The best way to handle this is to not let them into your country. If we did this at our borders now, we would not hear all this BS about poor kids and parents being separated.

Most of these people do not need asylum, they are purposely sent here to rip us off and make Americans give them free stuff.

“...Italy’s closure of its ports to the migrant rescue ship Aquarius, which was carrying 620 people, triggered warnings from aid agencies of a deadly summer at sea for people trying to cross the Mediterranean....”
*******************************************

Lesson to be learned by the “migrants”: Don’t be an illegal trying to cross the Mediterranean.

Lesson to be learned by the NGO “smugglers”: It’s expensive to be stuck with illegal, smelly cargo you can’t unload.

Lesson to be learned by the Italians: It feels good to stand up for yourselves.

I would be more compassionate if I didn’t believe this is a long term strategy by the islamists to infiltrate and occupy western cultures to the point where they outnumber the native population.

According to the UNHCR, some 98,000 refugees crossed the Mediterranean in the first 6 months of 2017, most of them from Libya. 69,000 ended up in Italy, 8,300 in Greece and 3,300 in Spain. 2,900 lives were lost in the process.linky

The guardian is a communist rag. It wants Italy destroyed. Salvini is Italian. He wants Italy great again.

Its not about humanitarianism.

Its about nation states enabling human traffickers or smugglers by picking up the people they ship out to sea from the North African coast.

Italy is finally saying, enough.

Interesting, but you know ALL British media is suspect. The Guardian and The Independent have about as much credibility as CNN.
