Full title..............'There's no replacing him': Arizona Republicans say it's 'inappropriate' to talk about the future of John McCain's seat as he battles terminal brain cancer................Senator John McCain's legacy was thrust into focus nearly one year ago when he announced his brain cancer diagnosis. The six-term Senator and decorated Vietnam War veteran is now fighting the illness from his beloved Arizona, and filling the role of one of the few Congressional Republican voices to publicly rebuke Trump administration decisions.

Yet the question of what happens if McCain steps down from office before 2022 is a lingering one, casting an uncomfortable haze around the future of a seat that can't quite ever be filled.

'John McCain is a one-of-a-kind politician, and there's no replacing him,' said Stan Barnes, an Arizona Republican consultant. 'No one serving in political office today remembers a time when John McCain was not representing us in Washington.'

Some Arizona Republicans have criticized conversations about the future of McCain's seat as inappropriate. But reflections around the 81-year-old statesman's life, legacy and status as a national political figure have resurfaced via a new HBO documentary, 'John McCain: For Whom the Bell Tolls,' and his new memoir, 'The Restless Wave.'

Tired of being told what’s appropriate or not by the elites.

So many a$$-kissing sycophant swampsters of McCrud in AZ it’s shameful.

I hate to suggest making a law like this...but there ought to be something that if your presence is not maintained for at least three days out of the month in Washington...the Governor should be able to replace you.

I’m amazed he has lasted this long, if he is truly still alive. My brother died of cancer in 2003 and once it hit his brain, the end came pretty fast.

The conversation needs to be about TODAY and with John McCain on why Arizona can’t enjoy the representation that the other states have today. Pscho(logists)s are popping up talking about the President and fitness to serve. MCcain and Pelosi are much more in need of scrutiny than the President.

It’s not fair to the people of Arizona to have no representation. If you’re not going to vote....you’re not doing your job.

Sure hope and pray we get a person who is so much better. McCain should be no one to emulate.

Arizona Republicans??????

You mean Arizona Leftist-Light Socialists

Is anyone still listening to the GOP Establishment, the enabler of the Democratic Socialists' attempts to turn our Free Constitutional Republic into a third-world dictatorship before completely obliterating America?

H*ll, all they have to do to replace McSlime is to sit down on the toilet and take a bodacious dump.

Voila, a new McSlime.

Although the t*rd will prove demonstrably smarter.

The GOP never learns anything from the deviant left do they? Seems to me the left bury (politically) theirs before they are dead, and go on without hesitation.

If the traitor had any sense of patriotism, he’d resign his seat. But what else can you expect from a disloyal SOB?

The McCain book is a total flop. Remember this...the day our lord calls John McCain to report to SATAN, the Devil himself, and the next day few people in Arizona and fewer across the country will remember him at all. Case closed!!! This evil man made his bed on his journey through life filled with hate and envy. Now he will get his just reward...forever spending his spirit time with SATAN and his kind.
