Britain's Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, Marking the first-ever visit to Israel by a member of Great Britain’s royal family, Prince William will arrive in Tel Aviv on Monday, June 25, Kensington Palace announced in a statement released early on Friday.

Besides Israel, the Duke of Cambridge will also visit Jordan and the Palestinian territories. “The visit is at the request of Her Majesty’s Government and has been welcomed by the Jordanian, Israeli, and Palestinian authorities,” the statement read.

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip spent five days in Jordan in 1984, but have never visit Israel or the Palestinian territories.

Indeed, no member of the Royal family has officially visited Israel, and none has officially visited the Holy Land since the 1880s, though Princes Philip, Charles and Edward have all made private visits.

“Full details of His Royal Highness’s programme will be announced in due course,” the palace said.

Sketching out his possible itinerary, the Britain Israel Communications and Research Centre, known as BICOM, said the visit will likely mix official meetings, family history and religion.

It’s pathetic that it has taken this long.

That only took seventy years. Britain has leaned pro-Arab ever since skedaddling the ME in 1947.

Maybe young Prince is fed up with the Muslim invasion of UK and wants to send a message. Wonder if he’ll visit Jordan, too.

May be moot; if the Brits don’t wind up with a Muslim PM, it’ll be by pure luck.

Silly me. The visit will be equal-opportunity.

Another Yasser Arafat Palestinian Propaganda Tour.
They never get to see the positive Israel-Arab interactions in the Druz Village or in Jericho.

Only the East Bank and Gaza terrorist hideouts where people are treated so poorly by the Israeli. /sar

Britain has leaned pro-Arab ever since skedaddling the ME in 1947.

It leaned that way well before 1947.

if he’s visiting the “Palestinian” -occupied Isareli territories, he should be denied entry into Israel.
Let him stay home, another Fakestinian propaganda event is hardly needed

It all started with T.E. Lawrence.

Britain did issue the Balfour Declaration in 1917 favoring a Jewish homeland in Palestine, and the Arabs have cursed them for it ever since, just like they do Sykes-Picot.

Things went badly for Britain in Egypt when Nasser took over, worse in Iraq in 1958, leaving the Kingdom of Jordan as the only jewel they have left in the region.

Anti-Israel sentiment in UK now has an entirely Muslim tinge to it. Their Paki mayor of London is the de facto PM but that’s another story.

Jordan’s prime minister resigned. Potential unrest ahead.

British colonial administration in Palestine pre-1947 was decidedly pro-Arab and anti-Jew. The lengths the Jews there had to go to and the risks they took just to accumulate enough arms to defend themselves were extraordinary.

I wonder if he will visit his great granny’s grave? Prince Phillip’s mother is buried in Israel.

Prince Phillip only visited his mother’s grave once in all these years sneaking into Israel without any fanfare.

Disgraceful!

There was a lot of T.E. Lawrence-based Arabist romanticism among British officers in the Middle East, the most conspicuous being Sir John Glubb (”Glubb Pasha”).

I believe anti-semitism was so rife among British (following the Holocaust!) that in their sudden departure from Palestine they assumed & hoped that Arab armies would quickly overwhelm the Jews, exterminate them & make an end of the “Jewish Problem” once and for all.

Visiting Tel Aviv?! Why not visit the capital of Israel if it’s an official visit? Guess it’s their way of saying we don’t acknowledge Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Order Wingate was a fanatical supporter of the Jews however.
