Report: Assad to Meet With Kim Jong-un in North Korea

By Benjamin Hart @realaxelfoley

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad plans to visit Kim Jong-un in North Korea, according to a report on Sunday from the state-controlled Korean Central News Agency.

Assad reportedly made the announcement of his visit on May 30, as he received the credentials of Mun Jong-nam, the new North Korean ambassador to Syria. The precise purpose of his trip is unclear, as is the timing.

Syria is one of the few countries that has maintained cordial diplomatic relations with North Korea over the last few decades, with the two countries establishing official ties in 1966. North Korea sent hundreds of troops to Syria to assist in its fight against Israel during the 1973 Arab-Israeli War. More recently, the U.N. has accused North Korea of supporting Syria’s chemical-weapons program. Chemical attacks launched by Assad have repeatedly drawn international condemnation and ineffectual military responses from the United States.

So what made Assad so eager to go there? It's a long way from home.

Assad makes allies where he can get them, NK wants to project the image of being a world player to bargain from a position of greater strength.

“So what made Assad so eager to go there? It’s a long way from home. “

So we should arrange for his plane to have an in-flight emergency!

Here’s my humble ‘guess’. He’s been told by various insider-Assad figures that he can get the nuke technology, and work up some deal. But basically...they want him to fly out, and will start a coup two days into this trip.

Kim will call up his good friend ‘Donald’ and ask what he should do with Assad (a man without a country). Donald will say that if Kim could just offer ‘shelter’ (hold him) that the US would pay for this. Kim will talk over the various costs and work up some deal for $12 million a year (basically 11.9 million for Kim’s pocket and the rest for a marginal household for Assad).

Then with a Syrian general in charge....the whole war will come to an end, with tens of thousands returning weekly. Donald will come out and offer billions for the rebuilding of Syria, but only if they use Syrian or US companies...NOT EU players. A year later, some Syrian town erects a Trump-statue, and names the main avenue Trump-plaza.

Assad gets the hand me downs. He supposedly got Iraq’s WMDs. Maybe he wants some of the NK nukes.
