Now he insists he doesn't owe her a face-to-face apology for turning her life upside down and subjecting her to international ridicule

The former president says he's a victim of his own transgressions since he left the White House $16 million in debt

He and Hillary Clinton have amassed a fortune since then through six-figure speaking appearances

James Patterson, who co-authored a political fiction book with Clinton, insisted he shouldn't have resigned because philandering JFK and LBJ set the standard

Former President Bill Clinton insisted in a weekend interview that he doesn't owe a personal apology to Monica Lewinsky, the former White House intern whose adult life has been defined by their inappropriate sexual affair and the global scrutiny that followed.

'No,' he told NBC in an interview airing Monday on the 'Today' show. 'I do not – I have never talked to her. But I did say publicly on more than one occasion that I was sorry.'

'I apologized to everybody in the world,' Clinton said, implying that was enough.

And the flustered former president, more famous for his Don Juan-like seductions than for his policy legacy, portrayed himself, not Lewinsky, as history's victim in the mass-media's retelling of the 1990s saga.

He sexually harassed her on our time, on our money. The entire establishment NEVER used the words “sexual harassment” about him. It was precisely just that.

Anybody who thinks Monica Lewinski is at fault in that relationship is f'ed up beyond redemption. There is no reasoning whatsoever that can make her the guilty party. If she had a nice figure, it doesn't give a man a right to make sexual advances in the workplace. And it is a well known difference between men and women that men make most of the sexual advances.

She was given an opportunity to intern in the White House, and she was taken advantage of by a lecher. There is no reasoning that makes him anything other than a molester. She was barely a kid, and he took advantage of her with his aw shucks i'm just a country boy and I love you schtick. He is damned to hell for what he did to her, but all the people who pile on her for whatever part she had should be damned to the same hell for defending him. Say hi to him when you get there.

Sure, what use is being the most powerful man in the world if you can't use that power to get some nookie? And so what if she gave it up to him? That doesn't make her guilty, she just yielded. Who knows what promises he made to her? But there are women who are running around looking for that. They don't get their names turned in to synonyms for oral sex. And they don't get talked about every time someone lights a cigar. Clinton took a young woman and made her into a slut and the liberals who love his agenda hate her for being his victim. And the so-called christians and "good" people on this side, not site, who enjoy putting down the less-than-perfect are quite disgusting. And they do enjoy it.

The size and scope of the symbiotic relationship between the Clintons and their donors is striking. At least 181 companies, individuals, and foreign governments that have given to the Clinton Foundation also lobbied the State Department when Hillary Clinton ran the place, according to a Vox analysis of foundation records and federal lobbying disclosures.

The following chart shows entities that donated to the foundation and lobbied the State Department during Hillary Clinton's tenure. The totals include funding for the foundation from both corporate and charitable arms of listed companies that lobbied State, even though the charities themselves don't necessarily lobby. The chart does not account for contributions made by executives, and it may omit some companies who made contributions or lobbied through subsidiaries.
