Samantha (and Rosanne, unfortunately) are examples of why women will never be equal. If you look at who was NOT offended by Samantha's remark, it was: Liberal Men. They hooted with titillated glee. Catfight!! That was a woman degrading another woman for the excited approval of the men in her audience. It wasn't for the women.

Whenever women use uniquely female insults for each other (slamming looks or sexualizing the other), it is for male approval. I've done it myself, so I'm going to try to stop, but until all women stop it, we will never be equal. It's not tax-payer funded abortion and child care that will make us equal. It's ceasing this tendency to set one another on fire so men will applaud us for the blaze.
