There has been an outpouring of conservative condemnation of Roseanne for her racist comment about Valerie Jarrett. But the left-wing media is largely rallying around Samantha Bee for calling Ivanka Trump the c-word.
Take the Daily Beast, where Amy Zimmerman dismissed Bee’s attack as merely “cussing” and “naughty words,” claiming that to compare it with Roseanne’s tweet is “the false equivalency to end all false equivalencies.”
Along similar lines, on today’s Morning Joe MSNBC analyst John Heilemann argued that the punishment for Bee shouldn’t be as harsh as the show cancellation that Roseanne promptly suffered. Heilemann:
“In the scale of punishment, I don’t think that what Samantha Bee said is on the same scale as what Roseanne said. Because I don’t think vulgarity equals racism . . . it doesn’t reflect the same kind of corrupt values as what Roseanne said, because I do believe there’s a distinction between grotesque vulgarity and racist vulgarity.”

Do any of Samantha Bee’s defenders doubt that if a conservative host had used the c-word about Michelle Obama or her daughters they’d be instantly gone from the airwaves?

It’s not on the same scale... it’s worse.
Roseanne’s silly tweet was an ill-considered joke that didn’t even necessarily have anything to do with racism (when you see the photos of Jarrett next to Dr. Zora from “Planet Of The Apes” the resemblance is clear). Bee’s “comedy” was a disgusting attack, not only suggesting that Ivanka could persuade her father by dressing sexy for him, but calling her perhaps the worst thing I can think to call a women (except maybe “Hillary Clinton”).
Still don’t get what was racist about Roseanne’s comment.
Or, was alleged racism simply the vehicle to get rid of a perceived Trump supporter?

During the last administration, the children of the president were specifically named as ‘off limits’. Apparently, that ban has been lifted once the president is Republican.
Sandra Fluke anyone? I seem to remember the Left wanting Rush cancelled for a vulgar statement he made about her. Seem to recall a lot of liberal outrage and sponsor dropping. Again hypocrisy and the double standard raises it ugly head.
I think suggesting that Jarrett was bred from the Planet of the Apes is undeniably racist.
I can’t imagine any conservative on television referring to Michelle Obama as a “c***” and being allowed to stay. Not in a million years. If you’re a liberal, you get much more free reign to say what you want.
As it was generally held in the days of Shakespeare, actors and public performers are generally a low-class, low-morality lot, prostitutes, liars and thieves. They are experts at convincing the public that they are something that they are not, kinda like politicians.
So the famous Trump tape from ten years ago secretly taped was not as bad as they made it out to be.

If Roseanne had used the same words she used on VJ instead to describe Condoleezza Rice or Candace Owens she'd be celebrated for her courage by the media.
Well you remember the racist Condie Rice comic that they all heralded.
Comparing Negros to primates, especially apes = EXTREME racism.
Comparing Caucasians to primates = OK.
Comparing George W Bush to a chimp = Funny.
Comparing Donald Trump to an Orangutan = Funny.
Sexually degrading women = abject sexism.

The entire Left Wing media is going thru contortions and they ALL are rationalizing as this “not the same”. Problem is 90% of their viewers see this hypocrisy and laugh at them trying to “reason” the differences. She should have been fired, and the whole world sees the hypocrisy and frankly I like it because it hurts the Libs cred.

Any criticism by a conservative about a liberal is racist, sexist, ignorant, and over the line by definition.
