Philadelphia has a city wage tax, they confiscate a portion of your paycheck regardless of where you live. Big employers don’t care so Philly gets away with it.

“Just let Seattle keep it up. It will succeed in killing itself”

I live in Seattle, and unfortunately, the place is still growing like crazy. The growth is not expected to slow any time soon.

“The regulatory cost of new construction in Seattle represents 40% of the total cost.”

And yet there will be plenty of SJW CEO’s that will continue to move forward in Seattle. Shareholders have no clue that collectively they can put a stop to the nonsense.

There is no better cure for poverty than a job — the most recent Census Department data shows that, while nearly a third of working-age Americans without a job are below the poverty line, just 2.2 percent of working-age Americans with a full-time, year-round job are in poverty.

Amazon should stay and pay. They promote and vote for the vermin that make up these taxes. Bet thise big companies wouldn’t care if all the taxpayers were paying it. Oh wait, they will be because Amazon will shove those costs onto their customers who will not be happy.

Leftists are scum and I have no pity for those who vote in this garbage.

“Amazon should stay and pay”

Exactly. This is the kind BS Amazon wants to inflict on the country.

Who is going to look out for the Taxpayers in this?

If my income tax or property tax go crazy, I can vote for someone who will reduce the tax.

This is money going to government with no accountability.

It is the worst form of fascism yet.

Big business gives government money.

Where does big business get the money from?

A lot of it is coming from people who don’t even live in Washington.

Those Democrat politicians are getting money that no one can complain about.

Regardless of this tax, the truth is amazon has ruined Seattle. There was no reason to cram so much of your infrastructure into downtown, particularly south lake union. Amazon has made the downtown a traffic nightmare and basically unliveable.

While the illegal immigrant population is up in Washington state I don’t think they can blame this socialist bullshit on them. This is all on the legal residents and maybe they will finally wake up to what they have done to themselves.........maybe.
