There was enough national discontent with the kneelfests to press for their discontinuance. Still, one might be sad. Why is sports supposed to be the supreme expression of national identity? Seems to me this is about crowing at a success in shooting fish in a barrel.

Assuming you’re referring to the United States alone, the major leagues were never supreme to patriotism. But the leagues were infected no less than any other aspect of American life.

The once wholesome playing field is now poisoned by Leftism and every facilitating corporation.
