From January 1998 to the present, 69 killers have committed 66 mass public shootings in the US. Each of these attacks claimed four or more lives. Of the attackers, four have been identified as Christians, with just three clearly being regular churchgoers.

Muslims make up a disproportionately large share of these attackers. Although only about 1 percent of the US population is Muslim, 8.7% of these killers (6 in total) are Muslim. They outnumber Christian mass public shooters.

Muslims, even for small share of population, are our main religious killers.

Too many “No mention of Religion in any news article” for this to be meaningful. Just an objective opinion.

I do believe lack of faith in the family is why shootings are becoming more common.

Or, existing practices of faith becoming hollow, losing Spirit.

I’ve been commenting on some of Franklin Graham’s Facebook addresses, where he gets a fair share of hecklers as well as prayers.

He’s less shy than Billy was of diving into matters political. This theme enters a lot of the heckling comments.

I perceive that there is a modern problem with idolization of government which has been many decades in building up to where it is now. And this goes hand in hand with a failing and hollowing out of faith, such as what I spoke of. The idol, of course, can never perform like God can. God will tell you, don’t be shooting at people for jollies or even thinking about it. The government can only tell you, we want to take the guns away (but will mostly succeed in doing that only to the honest people).

The folly is so ubiquitous, however, that it spills over into what we would hope is “conservatism.” Conservatism itself has become polluted. This creates a logical opening for secular liberals to call conservatives hypocrites. And anyone who wants to honestly address this, can’t simply look down his nose at the secular liberals. Idolatry is idolatry no matter who is involved. If the main dispute is how to worship the idol, the battle for God has already been ceded.

Which is why it frustrates me that we have a “religion” sub-item on FR. Faith in God, rather, should crown everything else. If it is told to go to its room, the ruler of this world will have his devilish way.

Questionable methodology in compiling their data. For instance, they identify the religious views of Dimitrios Pagourtzis as “Greek Orthodox church”, ignoring the pentagram on his Facebook page and the Baphomet and Cthulhu pins on his jacket.

Romanticism (system of false morals for facilitating adultery), vices and greed contributed to the making of today’s super predators. Mandated fatherlessness and the enforcement of feminized fatherhood are a large part of the problem.

All organized subgroups will claim that “he’s not one of us.” But he is a product of the culture. People need rules—not some incantation or ritual born in an idolatrous empire.

I always figured the majority of these shooters were somewhere between irreligious and worship me I am god on the religious spectrum.

I agree. Except for the list of the killers names, the rest of the data is pretty much worthless.
