Back in 1992 was in Marseilles with my girlfriend. The travel guide I had said not to go through a certain neighborhood because of violence - and I am sure now it was an Islamic one. I was a jackass and wanted to take a short cut so went through it anyways. Cop cars parked every where in sight.
