Texas school shooter killed girl who turned down his advances and embarrassed him in class
The Los Angeles Times ^ | 05-19-2018 | Matt Pearce

Posted on 05/20/2018 8:35:42 PM PDT by Trump20162020

When the shooter left the room briefly, Abel and others left the closet and tried to barricade the door. But the shooter pushed it open, spotted a student he knew, and with anger said, "Surprise!" before shooting the student in the chest.

"I'm still trying to process everything," Abel said in an interview.

One of Pagourtzis' classmates who died in the attack, Shana Fisher, "had 4 months of problems from this boy," her mother, Sadie Rodriguez, wrote in a private message to the Los Angeles Times on Facebook. "He kept making advances on her and she repeatedly told him no."

Pagourtzis continued to get more aggressive, and she finally stood up to him and embarrassed him in class, Rodriguez said. "A week later he opens fire on everyone he didn't like," she wrote. "Shana being the first one." Rodriguez didn't say how she knew her daughter was the first victim.

Nobody mentions the embarrassment and hastles this guy forced on the girl.

Note, he’d been after her for four months, and this is the first mention of her trying to shame him into backing off.

I think feminizing boys and turning society into one big pro woman machine while the boys languish likely contributes to their rage.

Hollywood probably didn’t like the madhouses because so many liberals ended up there.

He was crazy. She was not.

So the questions are, how do we know when someone is crazy, and what do we sane people do to prevent these disasters? That’s all I’m trying to say.

In the future, perhaps there will be some response among the parents and professionals in detecting danger and preventing all this heartbreak. It’s too easy for us to think of the objects, the guns, and if we’re liberal we want to make them all disappear, and if we’re conservative we say let the teachers have them. The human solution is the real one, but takes longer, and takes more thought.

>> Humiliation in front of his friends can be horrible

Humiliation may be the most destructive emotion one could experience.

Through various forms of coddling, Liberalism has ill-prepared children for confrontation, failure, rejection, and inevitably humiliation.

And then the teenager is rejected and incapable of handling humiliation. Some commit suicide, others become homicidal.

The self-esteem movement has come home to roost. In checking out more information about this ill conceived movement, I came across this story:

Her son had decided to clean his room (a shock in and of itself) and he had come to his trophies and ribbons. His mom arrived to see that he had created two piles: one large and one small.

“What are the different piles?”

Pointing to the small pile, he said, “those are the awards from the tournaments and meets that I won.” He then dismissively pointed at the larger pile, “those are the ones I got just for showing up. I am throwing them away.”

The results of the self-esteem movement is a person may never get the learning skills to be a loser until they are jolted by the real world. It is a recipe for narcissism that thinks life is an entitlement whether they are skilled or unskilled. Some become snowflakes unable to cope and some may become narcissist who think the world would be a much better place if it revolved around them. And when they think it doesn’t, they lash out aggressively.

Here is a illuminating analysis of self-esteem by “Scientific American” that explains how narcissism can be created when the self-esteem movement is done wrong:

They need to take school shooters like this ( the ones that don’t shoot themselves first ) and erct a gallows over pond full of crocadiles. Swing the perp with just enough to give him half a minute of good choke . Then cut the rope and let him drop into the hungry crocs. If this is the penalty , all school shootings will stop

“We must return to institutionalizing the psychotic among us, including psychotic juveniles. They do not have to be madhouses as in the 19th century, but society must separate such people from itself if it ever wants to continue in relative freedom.”

Bingo!

“Medical treatment of mental illness is much more effective in 2018 than it was in 1963. “

False. What utter crapola. And the families are left struggling trying to deal with it by themselves.

Something ain’t right here. We were told she was a “Pakistani Exchange Student.” Her name is “Fisher” and her mother is in the US and her name is “Rodriguez”. Does this make sense to anyone?

“A society that embraces hedonistic debauchery spawns lunatics with no moral compass.”

I’m thinking that kids raised by parents who have never told a kid, “No”, could be part of the problem. After being over indulged, capitulated to, and coddled for their entire childhood, teenagers are clueless when it comes to handling rejection.

Well, he’ll be languishing in prison while she’ll be moldering in her grave. I guess it all equals out in the war of the sexes, doesn’t it?

"Defining deviancy down" as Daniel Patrick Moynihan put it.

"That same year columnist Charles Krauthammer expanded Moynihan’s point by proposing the reverse — that not only were we “normalizing what was once considered deviant,” but we were also “finding deviant what was once considered normal.”"

In 1973 the American Psychiatric Association voted that homosexuality was no longer a mental illness.

Homosexuality: The Mental Illness That Went Away

Since then, much behavior that's harmful to the individual, harmful to others, or harmful to both the individual and to others has been normalized.

Celebrating Columbine ("Columbiners") is not normal. See a psychiatrist. (Unfortunately, the psychiatrist may well say, "What's wrong with that? I'm a Columbiner, too!")

“Humiliation in front of his friends can be horrible.”

That’s why you don’t ask a girl in public, and you certainly dont make a pest of yourself for 4 months. One rejection is humiliating enough, but this guy wouldn’t take no for an answer so public humiliation was an appropriate response.

It’s not simply insanity. It’s a broken society that isn’t raising individuals with an insanely overinflated value of “self”, and a complete lack of teaching any sort of emotional education or true self control.

So when that insane bubble of self gets popped by reality they have no skills or ability to process disappointment other than to lash out..
