Venezuela's electoral council says President Nicolas Maduro has won re-election, in a vote marred by an opposition boycott and claims of foul play.

Early reports said turnout for the vote was unusually low-about 46% of the electorate.

The main opposition candidate, Henri Falcon, rejected the result soon after the polls closed, calling it invalid.......

Government officials said the polls were "free and fair" but most of the opposition boycotted the vote.

The administration of the US President Donald Trump has said it will not recognize the results of the election. Posting on Twitter ahead of the vote, the US mission to the United Nations called the process an "insult to democracy...........

The phony baloney plastic banana election is over in Venezuela with the expected result.

If Hugo Chavez was the Lenin, Maduro is the Stalin of the regime.

What's next. Less food and less medicine, less electricity than ever.

Joseph Stalin said some version of “It’s not the people who vote that count, it’s the people who count the votes.”

No hanging chads in this election but Maduro may end up hanging sometime down the road.

Now that Donald Trump is POTUS, the screws have been tightening and this regime falters more every day with the real vote being people voting with their feet and crossing borders into neighboring countries like Colombia and Brazil.

End poverty, equality for women yeah that’s what the Chavez-Maduro Marxists preach and as for this person, she pretends to be on the Left, while doing the bidding of big business and big banks shafting working people.

That’s why we have a President Trump today.

I watched a story on “BBC World News” earlier and they had to admit the polling places full last election were pretty empty this time around.

I don’t follow - why did the opposition not, at least, vote for the opposition?

Early reports said turnout for the vote was unusually low-about 46% of the electorate.

Obviously because the other 54% were too weak from starvation to get to the polls.

What the difference between Hillary!™ and Maduro?

Maduro can win an election rigged in his favor!

You have the opposition count votes on their own to compare against the publisher numbers.

I get the point that you can’t trust the government but if you don’t show up then the bad guys still “win”
