Huber is not conducting investigations directly. His limited role is to “make recommendations”:
...“These senior prosecutors will report directly to the Attorney General and the Deputy Attorney General [Rod Rosenstein], as appropriate, and will make recommendations as to whether any matters not currently under investigation should be opened, whether any matters currently under investigation require further resources, or whether any matters merit the appointment of a Special Counsel.”

That was my first thought, as well.
Session’s should be revised from this one. So Rosenstein should be out of the picture, but you’re right Session needs to wake up first.
How much do you want to bet Sessions finds a way to say he isn’t allowed to touch this one because he was involved in the campaign. Yet he’ll allow Rosenstein to investigate it even though Rosenstein was directly involved in the spying.
Of course, if the demand goes to Sessions, who promptly turns it over to no-light-of-day Rosenstein, then the ballgame turns to Trump having to - yet again - explode over it.
Bottom line, it is painfully obvious that the DOJ cannot investigate itself.
So he let’s the guys spying on him do the investigation? That makes no sense.
Congress needs to be directly involved. The DOJ cannot be responsible for investigating the DOJ and the FBI. A Congressional investigation has to be at least a major part of this.

The problem there is that only a handful of THOSE scumbags aren’t utterly corrupt. The RATS will block anything that helps the President. The deep-state, anti-Trump Republicans will join them. There simply aren’t enough good, honest people there to make a difference.
This is his preamble to getting rid of Sessions et al.
