Good friends of mine had a son with a similar problem in Denver about 15 years ago.
Probably the same as this, with a Mexican.
He ended up shot dead.
There are two justice systems in our country, one allows the suspect to run back home.

Once Yankee outfielder Reggie Jackson was starting to park his car on a NY City street.
Another driver suddenly pulled up and tried to get the same space.
Jackson said “I was just pulling in here.”
The guy got out and pulled a gun and shot at Jackson. He missed. Jackson put up his hands and said “Hey, okay buddy. Okay. You win It’s your space!” The man let him alone and parked.

A real underground "social justice" system needs to be created to deal with crimes such as this since it's unlikely the thugs will be given the sentences they really deserve..........
