It’s as if she’s never read “The Federalist Papers”. Or perhaps she’s just assuming most of the young today have never read any of The Federalist Papers. We are not a Democracy.
Well Senator and I use that term loosely, America is NOT a Democracy, healthy or unhealthy. We are not running a TV popularity show. We are trying to run an Country. Our form of Government is called a constitutional federal republic. We follow the US Constitution to choose our President. So instead of just California and New York City electing every President in every election, all of the States that make up our Republic get to have a say in electing our president. So you see we actually are using a fair means to elect our President. Perhaps you should take a refresher class or tow in US Government! Might be helpful!
