That was my thought the whole time. Saw a video of the radar on youtube. It proves nothing, but I always thought the Malaysians shot the plane down. We will probably never know what actually happened, but I say jihad! If you were a majority muslim nation with international prospects, you’d be wise to bury it!

I’ve thought this given planes rarely have total failures so pilot should have radioed SOS and been able to do a more level crash. Given not much was found tells me the plane was deliberately crashed straight down at speed.

It's possible, if he had been alive to witness the news reports and ongoing investigation following the crash, he would have been dismayed to learn that it was recorded as a big mystery, rather than the dramatic statement he intended.

Based on the article, he probably avoided radar so he could fly over his hometown. If was seen off of his flight plan, he would have been intercepted sooner and wouldn't get one last glimpse of home.
