South Carolina's state owned utility paid $9 million in performance bonuses to executives of a private utility for two nuclear reactors that were never finished, according to the public utility and emails turned over to state and federal investigators.
SCANA Corp. even billed taxpayer-supported Santee Cooper $3.2 million for bonuses in August, A MONTH AFTER the utilities abandoned 10 years of construction and planning for the reactors, according to the emails released by Gov. Henry McMaster's office on Wednesday.

The legislature which is GOP is controlled by Dems who jumped over to the GOP party when they saw the end of the Dem party in SC. Hugh Leatherman of Florence is one of the worst. Nikki Haley had to fight her own party every day to reduce the pork and waste from these parasites.
How 'bout that. And I thought she was busy every day fighting to open transgender bathrooms and to take down flags all across the state.

Crony capitalism. Remember the Wall Street banks, bailed out with taxpayer money in 2008 (thanks to George Bush and his former Goldman Sachs CEO Secretary of the Treasury Paulson), were paying millions in bonuses to executives a year after they had requested and received trillions in taxpayer and Federal Reserve money. This is merely standard operating procedure for business entwined with government.
