“”It does not matter who makes the payment under campaign finance law.””

They just assume because they said so, it’s true! What idiocy!! Their heads should explode when they make ridiculous statements like that.

This is a lot to read and I only got that far...I’m sure I’ll have more comments...

If Washington were to reveal who made payments to hookers, DC would be a ghost town and the swamp would be drained............

When you think of the prosecutorial careers of Giuliani, Comey and Mueller, what comes to mind?

Mueller: Enron
Comey: Martha Stewart
Rudy: the Mob.

Sure, they all had difficult, dangerous targets in their careers, but these are the ones that define them. There’s a reason for that.

“No, we don’t have anything, when they were specifically asked for it by Manafort’s lawyers.” So what it means is that somebody in the special counsel’s office has been lying.

I'm pretty sure it is illegal for the prosecutor to withhold evidence from a defense attorney, but nowadays with the FBI doing whatever it damn well pleases, who knows. Technicalities like withholding evidence. Who cares. The important thing is destroying your political enemies.

Trump was not a sitting president at the time any of the hooker foolishness went on.

And none of this meets the standard of high crimes or misdemeanors.

He “misspoke”.

I am sure that President Trump did not lie. I would bet that Cohen was on a generous retainer to handle this and many other things. He may also have been able to invoice his expenses above a certain level. A person in the Trump organization would then pay the invoice. Not Trump himself. Rudy put President Trump’s $130K into a box that is compliant with the law. In addition it can be logically claimed as a matter protecting the Trump brand; a business requirement.

Fire Giuliani. Real attorneys don’t run their mouth off about their clients cases.

Rudy is in the middle stages of senility. Hannity was just as dumb to put in on the air. He could have pulled it down. It wasn’t live. He’s all about his ratings and his money.

Bozos!

One other thing.....Trump was settling a lot of other lawsuits and cases like the Trump University lawsuit during the campaign. Cohen was busy making big bucks from the Don.

It has nothing to do with the campaign. No one thought Trump was a choir boy relating to ladies.

In Hillary’s case they rather famously just assume room temperature by the dozens.

And if Stormy had serviced old Hillary, stormy’d be room temperature now. You know how often sex workers become depressed.

No mistake, no crime by Cohen or anyone. I bet it drove Mueller crazy.

So true.

One took on some corporate crooks, who probably didn’t send their weekly protection payment to the right person.

One took on a woman that “lied” about something every member of Congress does, every day.

One took on an organization known for murder, robbery, extortion, high-jacking, etc.

There’s the freshman team, JV team, and the Varsity team.

I think Roudy spoke for Trump, is all. It buffers the shock factor, as a messenger messaging about the next messenger’s message on his way.

News work like that.

‘....did Stormy put it on her taxes?’

How would you put there....a consulting fee paid to you? You can figure she draws around $250k a year...pole dancing, porn films, etc...and she probably only reports $100k of that. If she did put the $130k down....at least $35k of that probably went to the IRS on taxation.

Stormy is one of those people that you expect to see around age fifty-five...living in some trailer in Yuma, and doing waitress duty at a Waffle House. Most everything she earned life, gone by that point.

130 is an interesting amount.

Not $125k or $150K; which would, in my mind at least, be a logical type of number.

To me 130k means the porn star’s lawyer asked for 150k, hoping to get an even 100k. Cohen folded and settled for 130k. But even if Trump was on the phone every second negotiating the amount and the DA has a copy of the conversation, it doesn’t matter. It’s Trump’s money and he can do whatever he wants and say whatever he wants.

The number is the most “concerning” aspect of this whole incident.

It just doesn’t sound like a “hush” amount...

Like - why not 1,000,000?

And - why did she wait 15 years to cash in - had she spoken about this at all until recently?

I’m sure that is 100% true. Which is why the payment doesn’t seem problematic to me. The problematic part is Trump said he didn’t know about it.
