New anti-DACA case draws favorable judge
The Washington Times ^ | May 2, 2018 | Stephen Dinan

Texas has already caught its first break in its new lawsuit to stop the Obama-era DACA program, after the case was assigned to U.S. District Judge Andrew S. Hanen.

A Republican appointee to the bench, Judge Hanen has already ruled against a similar deportation amnesty in 2015. And during that case he expressed skepticism about DACA itself, saying it seemed to stray beyond the bounds of discretion then-President Obama had claimed in setting up the program.

So this case seems to conflict with the federal judge that ruled DACA must continue, including accepting new applicants.

Assuming this judge rules against DACA, how will this play out against the ruling by the other judge?

So the several states are subject to/must comply with illegal Executive Orders?

Don’t assume that this judge’s decision will be favorable. I am sure that the left is doing its opposition research right now to blackmail this judge.

This judge already Ruled DAPA, the second illegal amnesty for illegal aliens by the illegal President, was illegal.
If DAPA has no basis in law then neither does DACA.
Blatant over reach by the Kenyanesian Usurper that he himself said repeatedly he could not do, until he did it.

This judge is a straight shooter.

Because he got the case doesn’t assure a win but it assures a fair process and I doubt blackmail will enter into the case, he fought 0bama and his goons.

Better than the judge, the states have lawyers that want to win. Based on my reading of the other case, the feds have incompetent lawyers that set up their case to lose. The judge in the other case seemed to bend over backwards to try and tell them how to present a winning case, which they have not done. Sessions needs to make sure he and his attorneys are competent and actually want to win they cases they are given.

It’d be a hoot if the DOJ doesn’t fight this case and I think that’s a possibility, what Texas and the other states are trying to do in this cast is actually what President Trump is for.
