During an appearance at the Newseum in Washington for Law Day, Rosenstein was asked about a draft of articles of impeachment prepared by Rep. Mark Meadows, a North Carolina Republican, and other members of the House Freedom Caucus. They have pushed for the release of internal Justice Department documents concerning some aspects of the Russian meddling investigation and the Hillary Clinton e-mail probe.

Some Democrats have charged that the escalating document demands are an attempt to back Rosenstein into a corner and compromise his supervision of Robert Mueller and the rest of the special counsel team.

"They can't resist even leaking their own drafts," Rosenstein said of the Republican lawmakers' impeachment articles, which were first obtained by the Washington Post. "I just don't have anything to say about documents like that that nobody has the courage to put their name on and they leak in that way."

Rod....Go pound sand.

Rod Rosenstein is ABOVE the law.

"There are people who have been making threats, privately and publicly, against me for quite some time," he said. "And I think they should understand by now, the Department of Justice is not going to be extorted."

Hey Rod, GO F*** YOURSELF.

Congress has subpoenaed documents from you for MONTHS which you have IGNORED. That ALONE is grounds for not only your IMPEACHMENT, but your ARREST as well.

Last I checked, Congress has OVERSIGHT over the DOJ, not the other way around. Someone please tell ROSENRAT!

I don’t think it is extortion to go after someone for clear sedition. Fry him, he deserves it.

Rosenstein & Mueller can extort, threaten, bully, raid, subpoena, try to CREATE CRIMES and, all the while, demand that THEY THEMSELVES SHOULD BE ABOVE ALL LAW AND OVERSIGHT AND ACCOUNTABILITY. They CLEARLY consider themselves an American STASI.

An the coward Sessions sits back and negligently allows their EXTRA-CONSTITUTIONAL behavior.

Isn’t that about right. To a liberal like Rosenstein (and that is the nicest word I can use to describe him) people demanding that he do his job and let them do theirs is extortion. Guy needs to be fired and in a jail cell.

Rosenstein and Mueller appear overly desperate to be fired. The dam is probably going to burst sooner rather than later and it’s the swamp (represented by the Justice Department) fighting back against POTUS.... My guess is that Trump will win in the Supreme Court.

Trump should address the nation and fire the lot of them during the address, then challenge them to take on the Presidency. Trump needs to take control of this Democrat corrupted cesspool formerly known as the Justice Department, the FBI and the maybe even the CIA.

What about the democrat hue and cry about impeaching Trump?

Is that extortion, you little worm?

And the only worm lower than Rosenstein is Sessions.

The congressional committees want the docs and they have a constitutional right to get them.

Rosenstein, the acting AG, responds by threatening them with the charge of "extortion". And make no mistake about it, an Acting AG using the word "extortion", is a real threat.

Per Twitter.... Mark Meadows ‏Verified account @RepMarkMeadows 4h4 hours ago If he believes being asked to do his job is ‘extortion,’ then Rod Rosenstein should step aside and allow us to find a new Deputy Attorney General—preferably one who is interested in transparency
