Saw a pic of the group, and at least a couple of them would fall into a category I call the “I want it fresh” set. This is the type that is extremely high maintenance and heaven help you if get in line behind one at a food counter. They order the Fricken world, with all sorts of special instructions, and the final thing they tell the clerk “...and I want it fresh!”. Hence the name.
I wish more courses would enforce speed of play rules. A round of goldfish should never take more than 4 hours. 41/2 as an outlier. I e seen many a ranger tell people to move it if they fall a hole behind, and I’ve also seen rangers ignore it and rounds lasting 51/2 to 6 hipours. If you’re playing on a public course you’re not tiger woods or jack Nicklaus. Go up hit the the ball save the 20 practice swings for the range
You obviously missed my point. Only in the US do blacks refer themselves as "African Americans". No other country such as Canada or Britain do the blacks refer themselves as "African Canadian" or "African British"...........Or "African Mexican" for that matter.........

I get your point, but I was making another point too.
The range cop should have instructed the ladies to let the faster players play through. If they refused, then he should have refunded their money and asked them to leave and escorted them off the property. Then call the police if that didn’t work. It doesn’t matter if these ladies were black, green, white or purple nor what their sex was. Some (most who play) of us take our golf game seriously.
Because the democrats made them a protected class just like muslims, homosexuals and illegal aliens.
Not any longer, it appears. When protected classes start invading new territory, generally the rules and etiquette get trampled.
Of course, I tried golf 30 or so years ago, in my late 20s, found i didn’t find it interesting enough and that it appeared to be a waste of a good rifle range.

But if you are playing slow and don't allow groups behind you play through, then it is your problem.
Golf has rules that are self-administered. Calling 911 on some slow players? Over the top if you ask me.
Let me say - I was in the wrong. We were pokey and playing a goofy game. It would have helped me understand if they had asked nicely. I usually played a Senior 9-hole course with my mom and was clueless.
Sounds like a stunt was pulled. Become a victim by acting stupidly.
That is dangerous behavior in this age of distracted drivers texting or messing with their GPS and other toys. Slow walkers best not assume that the drivers they are trying to inconvenience will see them and stop before hitting them.
I think the reporter misrepresented what happened. The golf course offered to refund their greens fees but they refused. The reporter said their “membership fees” were refunded. Any member of a golf course knows there’s a huge difference between revoking your membership and refunding a daily greens fee. The reporter is out to make this look as bad as they could and their attitude was designed for the confrontation. This crap has to stop.
Golf is a game that is heavy on the courtesies.
This is the core of the problem. When they allowed it they started the whole problem. Never seen that in 50 years of playing.
