The mother of Michael Brown, the unarmed black 18-year-old who was fatally shot by a police officer in 2014, is considering running for City Council in her home city of Ferguson, Missouri.
“What I’m contemplating is running for City Council of Ferguson,” Brown’s mother, Lezley McSpadden, said during a panel on police brutality at Harvard University on Monday.
McSpadden’s announcement was met with a roar of applause from the crowd and a “Run, Lezley! Run!” chant, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

I agree, but there must be some true dingbats among the 400. I think that failing to teach your son that ripping off a store, walking down the middle of the street, and punching a cop are not smart things to do argues for "dingbat".

Well, it is often said that people get the leaders they deserve.
Look at her potential constituents. She will almost certainly win.
It's one thing for a bunch if Harvard SJW to idolize the “gentle giant”, but those who actually live in the neighborhood live in fear of thugs like him.
Besides, you eliminate the felons who can't vote and illegals, and the demographic profile of the voters you have left changes dramatically.

You can say the same about Winfrey. Built a multi-billion dollar media empire in print, publishing, cable, and the movies from scratch. And has done a pretty good job of running it.

I think Carolyn McCarthy was better educated and better prepared for elective office than Lezley McSpadden is.
