Exclusive: Ted Cruz Endorses Donald Trump in 2020
Breitbart ^ | 25 Apr 2018 | ROBERT KRAYCHIK

during a Tuesday interview with SiriusXM hosts Rebecca Mansour and Joel Pollak on Breitbart News Tonight. Mansour asked Cruz, “Would you be supportive of President Trump if he ran for reelection in 2020?”

Cruz replied, “I certainly assume so. I was supportive of and campaigned for President Trump in 2016, and I am very encouraged with the substantive policy victories we are getting, whether it is an historic tax cut bill, whether it is regulatory reform that’s unleashing jobs, whether it is repealing the Obamacare individual mandate — which I led the fight to do in the United States Senate — whether it is nominating and confirming strong constitutionalists to the courts. On all of those fights I’ve been working to lead the battle. I’m content to continue working to lead that battle and defend our freedoms and defend the Constitution.”

During the 2016 election, Cruz initially opted against endorsing Trump after Trump secured the Republican Party’s nomination following a heated primary race that pitted the Texas senator against the New York real estate mogul. Republican convention goers booed Cruz during his speech at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio, when he advised them to “vote your conscience.” Two months later, he endorsed Trump and assisted his presidential campaign.

Never Trump media figures lamented Cruz’s support for Trump’s campaign. Glenn Beck, a fervent Cruz supporter during the 2016 primary, described himself as “profoundly sad” following Cruz’s endorsement of Trump, whom Beck strongly opposed. Beck later described America as a “petulant child” worthy of divine punishment for making “the wrong choice” in nominating Trump.

Since the election, Cruz has largely supported Trump’s policies and agenda

They’re already here, vomiting up their bile, vitriol, and support of democRATs.

Oh, I know.

I’ll take his word knowing full well his next words weasel him out. Thus, the corner. When this serpent strikes it will be at empty air.

Good point.
More weasel words from Elmer Gantry.

It’s fine with me if Texas wants him as their Senator, I will never vote for him.

A true constitutional conservative would have the utmost respect for the constitution and not seek the office of the presidency when he is unqualified.

Born on foreign soil and stayed there a decade
Born to a foreign father- Cuban Canadian
Born to an expat American mother - Canadian
Hides his foreign citizenship while seeking the presidency.

Shameful and disheartening.

I've said this before, but living in Michigan, I saw the value of Cruz coming and campaigning in the last week. I have not been a fan of Cruz for a long time, but in this case it helped a lot.

It was effective, and gave the green light for a lot of people who were stuck on stupid. I presume a small percentage of votes in other states that Trump won came out as a result of the change in the Cruz position as well.

I'm not interested in trusting Ted over Trump, not at all. Ted could never have been as successful as Trump in implementing a conservative agenda. I just know that Trump won by only 10,000 votes in Michigan.

IMHO, time to let the Cruz wars go.

Thank you for avoiding the bile and vitriol. Thank you also for expressing your opinion as to what "Natural Born Citizen" means. It's nice that you have an opinion; I have one, too.

It would be very good if the Congress, or the Supreme Court would express a clear and unambiguous opinion on the matter. Then we could quit having stupid arguments about it.

Thank you for confirming my analysis of Cruz-haters.

************

That happens in politics quite often. But Cruz will be
re-elected as Senator from Texas come November. Assuming
President Trump runs for a 2nd term then Cruz can be back
in 2024 with his quest for the Presidential nomination.

Good news. The more support for President Trump the better. Cruz will bring others on-board.

And yet, by a recent poll they are nearly tied in the margin of error. Go figure. Maybe lots of Texas see through Lyn’ Ted, have had enough of him, and would stomach Beto as an alternative.

No one here and in any thread about Lyn’ Ted has ever supported a Democrat. We just don’t like or trust and never will we again support Lyn’ Ted. His opposition could be Hillary for all I care, I’ll still never again support Lyn’ Ted. The soon he’s gone, the better.

Ted was Chuck Schumer’s fellow traveler in 2016. I can’t help you. You’re the one that will have to come to terms with it.

Instead of Ted working tirelessly to prevent Clinton from winning, he put in only a few hours over 100 days. That’s how much a supporter of Conservatism Ted was.

Right now, you can’t even seem to grasp the risk Ted was taking by behaving that way. In stead of acknowledging it and saying you didn’t approve of what he did either, you attempt to belittle me and exonerate Ted.

He also refused to endorse Trump at the Convention, a very big plus for the Democrats, since Ted came in a runner up. The Convention is designed to give the nominee the biggest boost possible, Schumer’s by in our camp took a pass on boosting the nominees visibility as much as possible.

Think Chuck didn’t appreciate that? Well?

Ted spend about 1.5 hours making calls one day.

He spent part of another day at Trump rallies, at least part of which he refused to endorse Trump using Trump’s name.

Now you attempt to tell me I’m Chucks big bud.

Not only are you folks hopeless, you’re helpless.

He came/went to Michigan one day, November 4th, 2016.

He attended three rallies.

At the first rally he didn’t mention the nominee’s name.

Seriously, he took a pass on saying, “Donald Trump” at that rally.

It was discussed here at length that day.

Pence made some great speeches, but Ted spent his time saying about as little in favor of Trump as he could.

Why are you forgetting about this?

Cruz probably spent about six-eight hours in state. Coupled with the 1.5 hours he spend making calls about 45 days earlier (if memory serves me well), this means Ted spent about 8 hours after the convention offering up token luke warm support for Trump.

He also refused to endorse Trump at the Convention.

Please stop trying to make the case that Cruz turned Michigan around. He did not.

Pence may have.

Not quite.

The great paradox of politics is the twin inabilities:

1. Can’t use Yes or No as answers to direct questions.
2. No matter what, nobody accuses somebody of lying (Trump being the exception that proves this rule).

I can’t help you.

NO, you can't. You need to deal with your own problems, first. Your first step would be to stop trashing Cruz. Until you do that, you have nothing worthwhile to say on the matter.

"vomiting up their bile, vitriol, and support of democRATs"

They have to be trolls-FRinos.

Do these Cruz bashers have an idea of what president Trump is up against now?

Do they have any desire that this country survive the attacks of those who would tear it apart?

They can't be serious, or informed as to what's happening in our government, when they engage in their absolutely stupid, counterproductive, divisive, Cruz bashing.

They need to wake TF up and realize it's not 2016!

There is a battle going on, and we need to come together for president Trump, not be divided against each other. This infighting is how the democRATS beat us, every time.

And God forbid, that is how they will take this nation down, if we let it happen.

I don't see where Trump was credited with doing anything related to the things here.

Is Cruz aware that one judicial nominee has been hanging since May of 2017, without approval? A number of others have not been acted on. Just how much help has he been anyway?
