>>Apparently, a book published by Random House Canada doesn’t qualify as an American-published book (even though the Random House Canada parent company, Random House, is an American publisher). But doesn’t that only reconfirm that The New York Times best-seller list is not actually a best-seller list? The others list the book.

Aren’t many books published outside of the US these days? For decades this has been the case. Even the little booklets in your CD albums often contain a “printed in Canada” logo. And for art books, printing has been done in China, Japan, Germany, etc.

When movies are filmed in Canada (or Eastern Europe) but set in the United States, are they listed as “foreign films” or ranked alongside of the other stateside films?

Forty years ago, the NY Times was actively quoted. People across the nation subscribed to it, and it was the intellectual’s national newspaper (along with the WaPo). Over the past decade, they’ve stumbled. They’ve lost their bearings. Their slant, while still with the intellectual crowd....isn’t selling with blue-state democrats anymore. A lot of people have given up on it....along with the traditional Time/Newsweek crowd, and the four networks (PBS, CBS, NBC, ABC).

In essence, people moved on.

I recall with his last book Mark Levin mentioning this on a few of his shows. His book, by all measures (including , I think he called it Book Scan) was selling more copies, WAY more copies, than books ahead of it on the NYT list.

And I seem to also recall at least one of those books that was listed ahead of his, while selling fewer copies by any measure, was a liberal author’s book.

Add to this the news about how AMZN is preventing people from posting negative reviews of Comey’s book (which a caller mentioned on Rush’s show a few days ago and is now on Breitbart as a legit story), and is there any doubt who these places favor?

This will soon be a non-issue. Because the NYT will soon be out of business.

NYT: top of my worst seller list.

As an aside, has anyone else notice that the Townhall comments section has been more aggressively attacked by trolls lately?

Even this article had a troll post a thread hijacking non-sequitur as the third post that is intended to derail the comments into a Trump back-and-forth for pages and pages. This is intended to frustrate readers into giving up on discussing the article.

They do this on every article over at Townhall. Nobody moderates it over there.
