But they gave BHO a peace prize. Trump does need a peace prize or $1 million

He pulls this off... or even just gets an official end to the Korean War, THAT will be nothing short of earthshaking.

Best vote I ever cast. Hands down!

I’ve been sitting here for years thinking North Korea would be a tough nut to crack.

It’s taken him a year and a half, and it truly does look promising.

Kim is actually pulling back, and I think Trump will reward him for it. He should.

If everyone comes out winners, it a great deal.

North Koreans, finally, help is on the way.

Great point.

I’ve been focused on the nukes and missiles, but your point is a nice step further.

It has appeared things were headed in this direction what with Moon making some nice press releases.

I’m sitting here with a grin on my face. Trump seems to be truly winning with North Korea, and I’d say it seems he’s not doing too bad with China either.

China will also have to be multi-faceted.

That's what I read. And give the Norks a way to save (some) face in the process of changing their dogma.

I am optimistic & excited for the people of NK to benefit from the progress of our modern world.

The first step to Freedom.

Trump knew the key to North Korea was China. It is pretty obvious that the sanctions hurt badly and for the first time..... they cannot look to China to get around the sanctions.

I am pretty sure President Xi yanked the leash because he believed Trump would act and that is in neither the interest of China or the U.S. The wildcard in this whole thing was the increasing militarization and the flirtation with becoming a nuclear power by Japan - moves that Trump may have indicated he would support. China, with good reason, does not want a militarized Japan or a militarized Korean Peninsula. Kim overplayed his hand bigly.

You get the feeling that Kim is somewhat starstruck by American celebrity. It may be that only a celebrity president like The Donald could have dragged Kim into modernity. If so, then Trump is truly the man for the times, sort of like how Reagan was for the USSR.

So did I.

I didn’t even remember it, but I registered and never stopped voting, so I did vote for him in 1970.

Help is on the way... I’d spend vacation volunteering to aid NK’s reform. I have close friends with Family there, that have long prayed for such a turn.

I think those are reasoned thoughts. I wouldn’t argue with any of it. There may be some issues there that may need a bit of tweaking, but it’s probably as good or better than any other attempt would be.
