A Germany correspondent for Turkish pro-government newspaper Sabah has tweeted that the June election should represent the end of the Turkish republic and the beginning of a caliphate, left-nationalist OdaTV said .

“95 years ago Atatürk got rid of both the Ottoman state and the caliphate with the words ‘Gentlemen, tomorrow we announce a republic’,” Martin Lejeune said on Twitter.

“On June 24, the Kemalist republic will be gotten rid of, and with Allah’s blessing when the time comes the caliphate will again be born in Turkey. May Allah protect Muslims.”

Turkey is moving close to the abyss.

Remember, the only journalists in Turkey are propagandists. The rest are in jail, dead or escaped abroad. This is very likely approved by Erdogan.

Yes, he thinks he is.

He is more likely to gather lightening bolts. (or big blasts)

Ataturk’s republic died when he managed to purge the General Staff a few years ago.

Very astute. Anyone who studies history would know why he has done what he has done and where he is headed. I believe that he, Russia and Iran are headed for Jerusalem right after Syria is destroyed. That is unless they turn on themselves before then.

In other words, the partnership of three empires, joining together will eventually eat themselves in the attempt to attack Israel. They have never really coexisted and will destroy each other when it becomes expedient.

No. both Turkey and Iran hate Israel.

Russia, is not really in that club. But do partner with Turkey and Iran.

The have totally different agenda’s. Russia is about oil, delivery systems, bases and gateways. (i.e. the strait)

Turkey is about Erdogan’s Neo Ottoman wet dream and becoming the ruler of a great horror. He also hates Israel and would love to lead an army to defeat them. (if he tries, he will be beaten)

Iran is about destroying Israel and taking Jerusalem. the 12er’s will do anything for that. The oil money and the nuke stuff is just a means of that.

In the end, they will all fail. (my view)

Saudi Arabia? They fear Iran, especially if the take over Syria.

If Turkey fell? Putin would grab it if he could. Not for anti-Israel but for property and oil and delivery systems.

Iran would also like to take Turkey as means to Israel.

Kurds are in the middle of this, if we can help them become secure around the mountains. It foils all of the others. Tough order.

I agree with you that they will all fail. Russia has always been a ‘semi-friend’ of Israel, but I am convinced that this partnership is a matter of convenience for them. Their real goal is to form a defensive arch all the way from Lebanon to Pakistan. I made the mistake once of telling a Kibbutznik that the US was the first to recognize Israel and he told me no, Russia was. I was the only American living on the kibbutz so I had no idea that it was even a consideration by non-americans. So, it showed me two things - many kibbutzniks are Socialists or communists and there is still a strong connection with mother Russia. However, Putin’s ambitious plans supercede the Russian soft spot for Israel. He began this model in Crimea in 2014 when oil prices were very high and were deterred somewhat by the crash in prices. Now, oil is rising again, but not enough to embolden him. All three of the empires (Novorossiya, Turkish Ottoman and Persian) must settle among themselves eventually - one way or the other. I am not sure how much Alexandr Dugin’s ideas have really influenced Putin, but we will find out. I believe that all three will fail because of their own divergent interest and their underestimation of Israel. There can only be one power in my opinion that will prevail, and it won’t be any of the three.

I’m considerably to the right of center politically and economically.

That said, I have great respect and Sympathy for Syrian Kurds. They are great people, good neighbors and good reliable allies. They are communal in Northern Syria. Product of Apo’s influence. He started out very hard left, somewhat justified by the rotten shake the Kurds were always dealt. Much like the crap in central and South America. Unfortunately it limits possibilities.

When you’re poor and the rulers are not you learn to work together to all survive. Communal living on local level can sort of work in that environment.

Israel started that way, they had no choice they had to to be able to eat.

I’ve had these discussions with my close Syrian Kurd friends. I’m convinced that if they are given the chance they are smart enough to figure how to get past that.

Israel is on very good terms with them. They can be helpful with them. The problem with that, anyone close to Israel in the Middle is instantly targeted by the jihadi neighbors. So help from Israel is best done in private.

I’ve never been to Israel, our preacher and his wife went there this past year. Some day I’d like to go to Egypt and Syria. Have friend in both places that I would like to meet in person. I’m 70 so that window won’t hold long, but we shall see. My father is 92 we help him. It will have to wait, if it happens.

We took my wife’s father over when he was 76 years old. He thought he was near the end of his life, but lo and behold, it rejuvenated him. He stayed for 3 weeks the first time, 5 weeks the second, and three more on the third trip. I am convinced it added another 10 years on to his life, and it ended up really being the icing on the cake for him. I have been going since 1980 and have had the fun to be a project Geologist on 4 different Archaelogical Excavations. I lived there for a few months at a time when on the Excavations, so I am a little more than a tourist, but less of an actual occupant. All in all, it has been the focus of my life. I recommend anyone go, especially when they are mature enough to enjoy it. If war breaks out, that is the best time to make your reservations, because the wars don’t last very long and prices drop by half when you reserve. By the time you get there, they really want your business and there are less tourists. We we were there during the last Intifada and it was wonderful! Safer, cheaper, and less crowded! I too gravitate towards the Kurds, the Armenians, etc., and other people that have been killed for their beliefs by the Turks, etc. I have known a few and have the greatest respect for them. Israel has helped more of the ‘refugees’ than any other country, but they do it quietly, and in secret. But the Kurds know.

Yes, the Kurds know.

And the 400,000 Jewish Kurds know all about things.
