The stash of violent and offensive material was discovered after Rose allegedly told a family member about his desire to kill people, specifically mentioning threats against Jewish people, on Monday.
The relative called Orange police, who searched his Irvine home the next day, DA’s officials said.
A set of steps titled “killing my first Jew” was found there along with the bullets, anti-Semitic pamphlets and lists of targets, prosecutors said.
Papers that mention St. Barbara Russian Orthodox Church in Lake Forest and the Beth Jacob Congregation and St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church in Irvine were also uncovered, according to a felony complaint filed Thursday.

The first thing I see is his last name, Rose, which is often a Jewish surname. How did a 26 y/o man become so hateful?
Mental illness may figure into this one.

to try to find, figure out just HOW any young man in America could get so insane, warped, crazy, nuts, and quite possibly maybe dangerous.....?
i know nothing about him but most 26 year old guys in Orange County, California have pretty good lives, too...
#4. Jews basically do not name their sons “Nicholas” or “Wesley”. That’s for Russian kings and “Gone With the Wind” fans.
There are very few cases, if any, that I know of where Jewish kids stalked and tried to kill or did kill fellow Jews as a group.
Rose could be a form of German name too.
The charges against him so far are “holding” charges. The real charges will be planning to commit mass murder, etc based on his own writings.
The kid is certifiably insane and will probably avoid a criminal sentence of any consequence if he is adjudicated to be mentally deficient or ill.
Glad someone in the family/friends had the common sense and awareness to immediately call the police. Our thanks to them for their concern.

Unlike so many Freepers, I've no problem with hate motivation as a sentencing consideration. That's where it belongs.
