Faced with the threat of subpoena, the Justice Department is expected to send Comey’s unredacted memos to Congress later Thursday.
The deadline passed several days ago prompting Rep DeSantis to call for contempt charges against Rosenstein.
The Daily Beast confirmed the Justice Department is finally complying with the oversight committee’s request and will be sending Comey’s memos to Congress today or tomorrow.
Comey penned 7 memos stemming from 9 conversations with President Trump.
The fired FBI Director admitted to leaking contents of the memos to the New York Times through a friend in order to prompt a special counsel investigation into Trump.
CNN’s Jake Tapper also reported the Comey memos would be available to Congress later today.

Every day that goes by more revelations. But still, despite my having written 33,000 words on this (more an essay than an article), nothing has yet demonstrated me wrong in my conclusions.
Very soon we get to see the “memos.”
But my question is the following: What happened to the bombshell evidence from Weiner’s laptop?

McCabe was Comey’s #2 for years, going back to SDNY, then to the Washington FBI, into senior FBI leadership. Two peas in the same pod.

I assume Comey’s friend received, and passed on to the papers, the unredacted memos. Why shouldn’t Congress have them?
Well, it's obvious he didn't keep any memos on his meetings with McCabe, or they wouldn't be fighting over who lied more about the leaks.
How do we know that these memos are accurate descriptions of what went on in the meetings. Comey seems like the type who would write down what he wished had happened, not necessarily what actually happened.
If they’re anything like the excerpts from his book, they’ll resemble the diary entries of a 13-year old girl.
I’d bet money Congress didn’t get all of Comey’s memos. They also need all of his emails going back at least 10 years.

Maybe it is a CYA game that they play. The down side, of course, is that those memos can be used against the person who wrote them or they might implicate fellow cohorts.
So, they probably only keep notes for certain people — like recording conversations. Maybe notes are legal and recordings are not?
Didn’t Comey read from the memos to his friend via the telephone? IIRC this allowed Comey to say that he hadn’t “given” confidential memos to anyone. Can we say, lack of candor?
