He wants Trump to fire Mueller, since thst would trigger impeachment.

It infuriates me that Republicans won’t simply state such a bill would be unconstitutional.
ALL Prosecutors are members of the Executive Branch and serve at the President’s pleasure.
For those who have questions, look at Article II.

WASHINGTON (AP) Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Tuesday thwarted a bipartisan effort to protect special counsel Robert Muellers job, saying he will not hold a floor vote on the legislation even if it is approved next week in the Senate Judiciary Committee.
McConnell said the bill is unnecessary because President Donald Trump will not fire Mueller.
Well not be having this on the floor of the Senate, McConnell said on Fox News.

Take that, Lindsey!

I will never understand why a “Special Council” to badger a president is even constitutional in any way, and if it is, why wasn’t there a “special Council” investigating Obama for collusion with the Muslim Brotherhood

I would have been impressed if he said, “The Bill will not leave Committee because it violates the ‘separations of powers’ that is the cornerstone of our Constitution.”

There's been a story up on Drudge for some while now about how the Senate WILL vote on protecting Mueller.
Our Dear Leader
I would post it but have fumbled my previous attempts to post.
The story is being reported as though McConnell is being overriden, which is complete b.s.
Nothing gets to the floor if the Leader says no.
Can you or someone get the story up?
Thanks.
