Re: I thought the Cato Institute was a libertarian, not leftist, organization.
True.
However, Cato supports many policies that are favored by Democrats, like Amnesty and Open Borders, sex of almost any kind between consenting adults, and lower defense spending.
In 2016, both the Libertarian president and vice president candidates moved conspicuously to the Left, compared with previous campaigns.
Here’s a thought - US totally back within her borders and ignore the rest of the world - let’s just “wait for the inevitable” and go with that flow.....won’t matter if Hillary does come back and take the WH - we have given up the fight.
It's a military alliance not a protection racket.
Who do you think funds the UN?
We would be paying ourselves with our own money for keeping our troops on the korean border.
WAT?
I’d love this just to see the expressions on the faces of the Koreans who say that the US is keeping them from peaceful unification.
“Instead, Kim could demand more from the administrationmost likely the end of Washingtons alliance with the South and removal of U.S. troops from the peninsula.”
Trump, don’t be stupid. That has always been the strategic policy goal of North Korean dictators - get the U.S.-South Korean alliance to disband itself. Why? Once that happens, the North will not need any threat of nukes to attack South Korea. The overall program of North Korea remains the same - forced reunification of all Korea under terms suitable to the regime in North Korea retaining control.
