From April 2017

No peace in Syria until Assad is ousted, says Nikki Haley

In a departure from the administration’s previous stance, US ambassador to the UN suggests regime change is now one of its priorities

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/apr/09/no-peace-in-syria-until-assad-is-ousted-says-nikki-haley

Trump should have fired her the next day.

Looks like we’ll be sending less business and more friendly tourists for a while.

I like her and I love to hear her lay down the law to the UN.

She was born in North Carolina and speaks with a southern accent. She could be a president and would make a much better president than some hippie conspiracy theorist (liberaltarian).

As I have said over and over and over, Haley does not just go rogue and start saying her own comments on Putin. There are briefing notes and issue notes with key facts and key messages that are reviewed by staff and approved by senior government officials including the Whitehouse. In other words she speaks for the president.

I wish the Putin friendly people on this db would stop this nonsense and just recognize that Putin is an international problem that needs to be dealt with.

I just dont like his nukes first deterrent policy.

Seems like a guy who would use them if he was losing a conventional war.

But it is what it is.

“Nikki Haley could become our first woman President. “

I wasn’t aware anchor babies were eligible to become POTUS. Didn’t South Carolina figure out the hard way that putting a first generation ‘American’ in the gov’s mansion was a really bad idea?

Considering that United States Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley is not an anchor baby and was twice elected Governor, I'd say you are unaware of a lot of things.

I have conflicting thoughts abotu this:

  1. As is apparent by my tag and previous posts I seeAssad as the only safety for Syrian Christians. I have said that from 2012 and still say that the alternative to Assad (who is no angel) is hell whichever way we look.
  2. But sanctions against Russia - that's good. Putin is looking to tweak the USA's nose - the media and social media manipulation is pay-back for American support for liberals in Russia. Sanctions against him is the right way. But the problem is -- WHAT Sanctions can be effective? The USA and Russia barel trade with each other - the US sends $7 billion exports and imports $17 billion -- for the USA that's not even 1% of its trade. For russia it is 1%, but they have bigger trading partners

I think the right pressure on Russia should be moving US bases from Western Europe to the Baltics, Poland, Romania

I make no secret of my opinion that we should let Russia get embroiled in the ME (and cut Turkey out of NATO) while the USA focuses on countries that it trades with. Cut all US ties to Saudia etc. - protect Israel, but leave the rest to Russia, China etc.'s tender care...

In the secular sense, that would certainly leave Israel closely surrounded by built up military forces of that country's enemies. But in another way as seen by only a few,...

That's very interesting in light of what's written in the Prophets. Descendants of some ancient nations (descendants now in all countries, some countries more than others) have continued to be rebellious against original morality and might no longer have the option of understanding. The issue of many is not really so much with descendants of the peoples taken and dispersed in ancient times by Assyria then Babylon. It only appears that way to most.

And what many apparent in every religion (generally speaking) in this world seem to be unaware of, is that what the Prophets said about this particular matter is unconditional, unchanged and cannot be prayed away.

The world has had a period of relative peace between men. Is much of the human race now tired of living and ready to race to the original and unchanged conclusion of the end of days? Maybe we'll find out soon.

The U.S.A. still trades with the Saudis, by the way. We’re quite dependent on oil from them. The struggles between nations over oil will also continue. There’s not much that political factions can do to stop that.

It’s also much of the reason that war is being avoided to whatever extents possible. A nation would be very desperate, indeed, to destroy many oil facilities for the purpose of changing the situation with alliances.

The thing is that descendents of some of the ancient nations liek the Assyrians etc. are persecuted Christians

PRESIDENT TRUMP REVERSES OBAMA’S ANTI-CHRISTIAN REFUGEE POLICY
FPM ^ | July 19, 2017 | Joseph Klein
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3570271/posts
“According to a Pew Research Center analysis of U.S. State Department refugee data, during the period from January 21, 2017 - President Trump’s first full day in office - through June 30, ‘9,598 Christian refugees arrived in the U.S., compared with 7,250 Muslim refugees. Christians made up 50% of all refugee arrivals in this period, compared with 38% who are Muslim.’”

Israel, BTW, has also taken in and helped many Christians and Alawites: people who hate Israel. Yet Catholic radical traditionals and others like them continue to devise and disseminate conspiracy theories against Jewish people while demanding that Syria be left to Iranian and Russian expansionism.

Syria’s Christians rally behind Hizbollah

Most people in the U.S.A. will oppose such efforts. Hezbollah is a terrorist organization. Iran trained foreign terrorists and exported many devices that killed our soldiers in Afghanistan and other countries.

I'm talking about Syria - Syria should not be the subject of Saudi-US-UK-Qatari-French-Turkish regime change by fundingjihadis

All US troops should be moved to Israel.

I support Israel's borders and that it should also include the so-called West bank and Gaza strip (without the terrorists).

Leave Assad alone to be occupied with fightingJihadis and too weak to interfere in Lebanon or Israel. Hizballah are already reviled by Sunnis, so they will be focused on that sectarian war.
