United States' Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said Sunday the Trump administration will announce more sanctions against Russia on Monday.
On CBS's "Face the Nation," Haley said the Treasury Department will announce the new sanctions and insisted the US has sent "a strong message" about the use of chemical weapons.

During the 2012 presidential campaign, Republican nominee Mitt Romney considered Haley as a potential vice presidential running mate, though Haley said that she would turn down any offer due to her position as governor.

I’ll never understand why he appointed her to that position.
All of this and the actions against China are Trump getting an American handle on these would-be enemies. They have got what they want from the US since Bill Clinton and Trump is throwing off the chains that three former presidents accepted as America’s necessary downward readjustment in the world.
Pushing Russia closer & closer to China is not in America’s best interests. But American interests are not primary any longer, it appears.
Sending Nikki Hayley to the UN shows how much distain POTUS has for that institution. I’m glad they have to listen to that screeching harpy all the time.

The media, at least on FOX, never portray Haley as anything but a school marm scold.
Haley was always a Romney style supporter of the RINO-UniParty donor-centered agenda, particularly against TRUMP.
It was painful enough to watch to conclude that on her own, or away from Trump and out from under his authority, Nikki Haley would be a battle axe against conservatives.
Is she setting herself up for a future run at the presidency? She carries Trump’s water, imitates his muscular approach and tone, (but reminds me of HRC on a bad day).
She would want Trump’s supporter base and also the donor class approval that continually props up the UniParty.
