Pray your power stays on and get ready for some heavy rain, maybe even a thunderstorm or two.
That's the second chapter of Ice Storm 2018 as it circles through the Buffalo Niagara region this weekend.
As the frontal boundary that brought the ice and sleet to Western New York over the last 18 hours or so treks northward today, the mixed precipitation and freezing rain will change over to all rain, the National Weather Service said.
It could be heavy at times.

Checking in from Lewiston NY about 30 miles north of Buffalo .the ice seems to have settled. No accumulation on power lines or trees yet but the day is young. Still coming down. I f it drops below 30...
Just another day for you and me in Paradise.

Very nasty business up here in Ontario right now. All the lefty freaks look particularly downcast - this weather is NOT confirming their faith.

They can’t even get a weather forecast right let alone predicting “climate change” or “global warming.”

It must be one of the best-kept secrets of modern times that the roads that go to NY also can be used to leave. Dude, shut the hell up. Weve got enough of these cancerous parasites coming down to North Carolina. The more that cant figure out the road-exit-New York thing, the better.

Amen brother. Im in the west metro staring at 14 of the white stuff. And our snow blower is broken. Sob. Yah, our car is *completely* contained, not even allowing for the snowplow building a nice little ice dam at the end of our driveway.
The map on this page is funny, because it shows parts of Richfield (I-494 meets 35-W) at 24.3 inches, but just a couple of miles away at most, only 10 inches.

Sun Country airlines abandoned its Minneapolis-bound Phoenix customers, refunding their money and basically telling them, “Find your own way home.”
