i thought the husband leaked it in the Who's Who blurb...Colin Powell, Armitage’s boss, knew for THREE YEARS that Armitage was the leaker, and kept his mouth shut, while Libby and Rove almost went to prison.
She had no cover. It was not illegal to reveal her name. When Robert Novak called the CIA to ask about her they gave him the information over the phone.
She worked at a desk. She continued to do the same job for two years afterwards. The only reason she quit is she got a big book deal. When it was learned that Karl Rove would not be “frog marched off to jail” the deal fell apart.
Nobody was ever charged with outing her because it was not a crime. Nothing but a dog and pony show just liuke the current Russia Russia Russia thing.

At the time, supposedly intelligent conservatives were repeating the lie that Libby had outed an undercover spy. Plame was merely a CIA bureaucrat trying to undermine Bush.
