“Notable that even Sundance, in his last two articles, has gone mute on defending Lonesome George, er,... I mean “Jeff Sessions”. He lets video stand alone, instead.”

I have dumped all Sundance’s credit to the toilet long ago because of his senseless defense of Sessions. He has suckered too many Freepers into believing his blabbering about the “silent executioner” Sessions, the singing white-hat Priestap, the “working-for-Trump” Mueller etc, that’s alone is an unpardonable sin.
I don’t expect Sessions sycophants to publicly admit they have been led astray by a nice yet false narrative since they have invested so much emotion into defending it. Let’s just hope it will serve them a good lesson.

***DICK ACT of 1902***

Fascinating; good catch. Now if we can just re-establish the rule of law!

What will Sessions do when Mueller comes back with a plate full of recommendations for charges, based on stolen material from Cohen’s residences? It won't be quite like that, officially. What Mueller's people will do is go thru the Trump-Cohen documents and find the juicy bits. They will then seek independent corroboration of that information while returning the 'privileged' material (while straightening their halos). When they go to Sessions they will say that this material isn't derived from the raid -- which will be a lie, but one that a liberal judge will accept.

Dershowitz nailed it when he said Mueller, and company, are criminalizing political differences. Reread Soviet history to see
how this was done. The odor of Beria-era "Show me the man, I'll show you the crime," lingers over the Mueller investigation.

I dont think Mueller is payback for the Clinton impeachment b/c recent events in Hollywood demonstrate the oversexed womanizer Clinton
more than deserved to be thrown out of office, not just impeached for lying. Hillary is forever stained by her infamous Bimbo Eruption team.
Hillary lacerated and demeaned innocent women who had been sexually abused by her husband to further her political ambitions.

Hannity seems to have a pattern: the more important the interview with the best experts the more outrageous his interruptions are.

Joe DiGenova thinks that Trump should not fire Rosenstein but Sessions should fire him. Problem is Joe should realize that Sessions has run out of time to do his job. Which all along should have been first and foremost to protect Trump which he has not done at all.

I stand by what I said the other day. Trump needs to fire Sessions put in a loyalist who is super smart from Rudy on down who will get rid of a whole host of bad DOJ people. The new DOJ head should get rid of Rosenstein on down and than get rid of Mueller and the entire Mule Team. There is no downside to getting rid of Mueller.

It's not up to Trump to fire Mueller. The new DOJ needs to do that and tomorrow.

Also Wray is clearly not up to the job he needs to be replaced with a true FBI person who has the loyalty/respect of its good agents.Once installed clean house with the rest of the deep staters which are all over the place there.CIA should be next.

As for Dershowitz he's only out for number one and is currently either trying to play both sides which will end in his self destruction with neither side trusting him. Or, he is keeping his options open to come over from the dark side to ours.

Either way Dershowitz is a slimedog.

He is only out for number one, cares not for the law,his family or anything or anyone but himself. This guy is probably more narcisstic than obama with a runaway ego that is second to none.

When you have a Harvard professor stating unequivocally that he only consults with Jeffery Epstein when writing new books instead of dozens of fellow professors at Harvard Univ. you gotta wonder what is with this guy? When you figure it out it's nothing good.No matter how smart these goons are they all have on thing in common, they sooner or later self-destruct.I think we are watching Dersh self destruct now.

There were a lot of heavyweight people telling many of us to lay off of Sessions that he was a good guy up to great things including those 1,800 indictments. For e that time has past,Sessions first and foremost duty should be to aiding Trump. It’s clearly not, time for him to go.

There is a very simple solution to this problem:

Have Jeff Sessions switch Cabinet positions with the Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen or the EPA's Scott Pruitt.

All are already Senate confirmed, so there is no chance for Senators to obstruct. Nielsen has no ties to the campaign, served in the Bush administration, and received numerous government contracts under the Obama administration. Pruitt was the Oklahoma Attorney General for six years, and supported the Jeb Bush campaign.

One factor may be that Sessions has proven to be ineffective as a reformer, so maybe the EPA is not the place for him.

If Nielsen or Pruitt steps in at Justice, either will not be under any recusal, and thus will effectively strip Rosenstein of his oversight responsibility for the Mueller investigation, pushing Rosenstein back down to full Assistant AG status. Then either can decide if they wants to keep him in her department staff altogether.

They can then begin to rein in Mueller, stop approving abusive witch hunt raids, and pressure Mueller towards a deadline.

The Militia Act of 1903 (32 Stat. 775), also known as “The Efficiency in Militia Act of 1903”, also known as the Dick Act, was legislation enacted by the United States Congress which codified the circumstances under which the National Guard could be federalized.

Per Wiki:

The Dick Act was amended several times. The Dick Act was modified by the Militia Act of 1908, the National Defense Act of 1916, the National Defense Act of 1920, and the National Defense Act Amendments of 1933.[23]

In 1908, the nine-month limit on federal service was dropped, and the President was empowered to set the length of federal service.[24][25] The ban on National Guard units serving outside the United States was also dropped, though subsequently the United States Attorney General offered his opinion that enabling the National Guard to serve outside the United States was unconstitutional.[26]

In addition, the 1908 law stated that during a mobilization the National Guard had to be federalized before the Army could organize volunteer units.[27] The 1908 law also included the creation of the Division of Militia Affairs as the Army agency responsible for overseeing federal training and administrative requirements for the National Guard.[28][29][30][31][32]

The National Defense Act of 1916 doubled the number of required drill periods from 24 to 48 and increased the length of summer training camps from five days to 15.[33] In addition, the War Department was enabled to centrally plan for the National Guard’s authorized strength, and the number and types of National Guard units in each state.[34]

Under the 1916 law, the War Department was also empowered to implement uniform enlistment contracts and officer commissioning requirements for the National Guard. Guardsmen were also required to take both state and federal enlistment oaths or oaths of office.[35]

The 1916 law also replaced the federal subsidy with an annual budget to cover most Guard expenses, including drill pay, and the Division of Militia Affairs was expanded to form the Militia Bureau (now National Guard Bureau).[36][37]

In addition, the 1916 law resolved the issues of deploying National Guardsmen overseas by stipulating that they would be drafted into federal service, thus removing the National Guard from its status as the militia of the states when operating under federal authority.[38]

This provision was employed to call up the National Guard during the Pancho Villa Expedition,[39] and again during World War I.[40]

In 1933, an amendment to the National Defense Act of 1916 created a separate reserve component of the United States Army called the National Guard of the United States.

Since 1933, all National Guardsmen have been members of both their State National Guard (or militia) and the National Guard of the United States.[41]

Congress only got to see the first warrant yesterday, after threatening to impeach Rosenstein. Unless he doctored his signature off it, they now have the proof. I'm hoping Congress will now proceed against him, and he will be gone.

Why this isn’t Watergate.

During W gate Nixon’s numbers faltered badly and he was losing support. Trump is gaining support.

It’s all partisan, because there is no crime.

Trump Supporters believe it is all bullshit and it is.

It’s a bit thick out there. Believing ones own eyes, and saying so, can draw a person a chilly response. When the obvious is spoken and is met with blue sky responses, based on a wing and a prayer, it’s a little unnerving.

He is there trying to get Trump out of this problem but his solution includes forgiving any Obama/Clinton crimes. He sees that as a good trade off.
