Vanity Fair's James Wolcott Grumbles About Obama's 'Obandonment' of the Democrats

Obama! Obama! Why hast thou obandoned us!

Ah, the good life! Kitesurfing in the Caribbean! Sampling exotic foods throughout Asia! Anticipating multi-million dollar book deals! Such are the wonderful perks of a post-presidency.

Very nice for Barack Obama but for the rest of the Democrats? Not so hot. That is the premise of James Wolcott in the April edition of Vanity Fair. The writer who fantasized about a revenge-tinged "reckoning" following an imagined Trump expulsion from office is now grumbling about Obama enjoying himself way too much while ignoring the Democrats in "CAN OBAMA RESCUE THE DEMOCRATS?" with a subtitle of "While Barack Obama revels in the perks of the post-presidency, the Democratic base longingly wonders if he’ll ever again direct his gaze their way."

“Obama was an eight-year April Fools joke upon the Democrats.”

He was no joke to normal Americans.

I thought Harry Truman had the best retirement. Go home and stay there. Write my memoir. Play cards with the detail all day. I’d change it up with a bit of travel, though.

From all the evidence I’ve seen, the Democratic Party was nothing but Obama’s chosen tool to pursue his Power Grab and Globalist Agenda. No more, no less. He would have been just as happy to go with Republicans.

Any organization that has Barbara “Dumb as a Brick” Boxer on its advisory council is not worth its weight in salt.

I'm guessing they will eventually be going on news shows and sending out reports to MSM as representatives of NSA to confuse the sheep and cloud the narrative.

oh wait...they are already getting there

Ah, maybe some of them are beginning to suspect that they were used. Obama's dream was to be The First Black President. Done that, got the t-shirt... so...

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

It’s been interesting to see this squirrelly guy go from being the Village Voice’s only conservative to being a loud-mouthed conformist at Vanity Fair. All for the big bucks and the arm candy, eh Jim? And what’s this nonsense about you hanging out with Patti Smith in the 70s? When I knew you, you never came out of your St. Marks’ dump.

CIRCA 2014---Hillary wrote, "it takes a village." But it took only one doofus--- Obama---to expose the lib/prog's "humanitarian" elitism that is endangering us.

These brain-dead, feel-good types believe “singling out” backward nations or antediluvian cultures which pose deadly threats to the public health or safety of Americans “stigmatizes” those nations or cultures, it “shames” them, it makes them "feel" unequal.

It’s (horrors) "judgmental."

We can never, Ever suggest that America prefers already existing tax-paying, law-abiding citizens to foreigners w/ big plans for our heads.

Dumbo Dummycrats are the reasons for the deluge of Central American refugees, the reason why illegals never feel the sting of US justice, the reason we remain unable to strip jihadists of US citizenship, the reason that a year after two Chechen refugees bombed the Boston Marathon, America is preparing to expand resettlement of Syrian refugees.

================================================

In fact the WH-ding-a-ling has already colluded to change US laws to bestow preferred status on terrorists.

Obama admin's law unilaterally changed to let in immigrants with 'limited' terror contact
The Daily Caller | 2/5/14 / FR Posted by Nachum

The Obama administration has issued new exemptions to a law that bars certain asylum-seekers and refugees who provided “limited material support” to terrorists who are believed to pose no threat from the U.S.

The Department of Homeland Security and the State Department published the new exemptions Wednesday in the Federal Register to narrow a ban in the Immigration and Nationality Act excluding refugees and asylum seekers who had provided limited material support, no matter how minor, to terrorists.

“These exemptions cover five kinds of limited material support that have adversely and unfairly affected refugees and asylum seekers with no tangible connection to terrorism: material support that was insignificant in amount or provided incidentally in the course of everyday social, commercial, family or humanitarian interactions, or under significant pressure,” a DHS official explained to The Daily Caller.

Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson and Secretary of State John Kerry signed the exemptions. DHS contends that the law change is “commonsense” and that immigration procedures will remain the same in other respects. (Excerpt) Read more at dailycaller.com ...

At the hearing WRT terrorists jumping the Mexican border into the US, then-Cong Jason Chaffetz questioned
then-DHS Secy Jeh Johnson WRT whether he is “aware of any apprehensions of suspected or known terrorists.”

Johnson dodged the question.

Five lies that have shaped the Obama presidency (among 75 significant lies...and counting) since he campaigned for the presidency, plus casual fibs and hyperbole. Five that illustrate Obama’s falsehoods.

5. “My father left my family when I was 2 years old”---Obama had never spent a night under the same roof as his father. Obama’s autobiography has been termed, “artful shaping.” In other words, the truth is never good enough.

4. “The Fast and Furious program was a field-initiated program begun under the previous administration.” Obama spun this fiction at a Sept 2012 latino Univision forum.....the bizarre, deadly idea to let American guns “walk” into Mexico, to be used by drug cartels to kill dozens, began in Oct 2009.

3. “Not even a smidgen of corruption.” Obama said WRT the IRS scandal. If there wasn't, what outraged him when he said “It’s inexcusable, and Americans are right to be angry about it, and I am angry about it.” (May 2013).

2. “We revealed to the American people exactly what we understood at the time.” During that same Super Bowl Sunday interview, made in response to O’Reilly’s inquiry about Benghazi. Obama previously said. “You had a video that was released by somebody who lives here, sort of a shadowy character who — who made an extremely offensive video directed at — at Mohammed and Islam.”

THE BIGGEST WHOPPER OF THEM ALL

1. “Transparency and the rule of law will be the touchstones of this presidency.” Obama told his assembled staff on his first day in office.

Yet, his administration refuses to hand over public documents.....and Obama refuses to answer questions about himself.

FINALLY--Obama's signature lie: “If you like your health care plan blah, blah, blah.”

CIRCA 2014---Jack Cashill is the author of “You Lie! The Evasions, Omissions, Fabrications, Frauds and Outright Falsehoods of Barack Obama” (Broadside Books).
