"He was 87. A liberal champion, Reinhardt was appointed to the bench by President Carter in 1980." Ridiculous. We need term limits for the federal judiciary.

Reinhardt is so contemptuous of Supreme Court precedent that the High Court has accused him of judicial disregardthe mark of a scofflaw. Clownhardt is one of a handful of "people" whose graves I want to make a pilgrimage to with a bag of burritos and a 12-pack of beer so I can "show my respect"...

I don’t celebrate a death. I’m sure his family is grieving. But I do welcome the opportunity to have a judge appointed who will adhere to the Constitution.

You’re absolutely right, it is outrageous how the Republican leadership are slow-walking President Trump’s appointments.
Jay Sekulow and his panel were talking about this very thing today.
Jay said that we don’t even have an ambassador to Germany yet!
And this has nothing whatsoever to do with Democrats being obstructionists, because Republicans have the numbers to get the President’s appointees confirmed, they’re just not doing it.

In other academic news from last fall. A professor got an article published through peer review in some post-colonialism journal that there also were some positive elements to colonialism. The Professor is now in hiding fearing for his life last I checked. Yes, I read that article.
But the Pope can say whatever he likes, it is just another opinion unless he speaks ex cathedra (from the chair) or as the Vicar of Christ.
This is rarely done.
As he has no biblical reference to cite and no other historical Papal teaching to back him up, it is just another heresy under his belt.
