The omnibus bill Congress passed and President Trump signed last week is a disaster. However, one positive thing to come out of it, in addition of course to the increase in military spending, was the defunding of President Obama’s Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing regulation (AFFH). This is a move we’ve been advocating for some time. Finally, the Republican Congress pulled the trigger.
AFFH enables the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to order more than 1,200 cities and counties that accepted any part of annual community development block grants to rezone neighborhoods along income and racial criteria. This is a big deal. Hussein was using the force of federal dollars to influence local zoning laws. Property owners and developers had to meet Hussein’s minority integration mandate or else.

Speaking of that...I’d like to know if states/counties were required (under 0’s regime) to provide a certain % of Sect 8 housing in new subdivisions....via apartments, etc.

It was a sneaky, underhanded little Dem trick intended to bust-up reliably Republican voting districts. Honestly, these people lay awake in bed every night thinking up new little “gotchas” to gain political advantage.
A few years ago I was doing sitework on a very nice apartment complex in a nice suburb of Minneapolis. Top notch place.
I was talking to the manager one day and I asked why do you have so many decrepit looking cars in the parking lot in such an upscale place? He said they had to allow a good chunk of the apartments to Section 8 people or no building permit.
That is exactly what Hussein’s mandate did.
Any organization with the words ‘peace, fair or justice’ in its name is highly suspect.

Even in older subdivisions it’s like that. And if there is a HOA, the HOA rules can not be enforced in regards to Sec 8 home “owners”.
