It would appear some read the headline only.....one of the reasons people are often mistakenly quick with knee jerk reactions.
China has confirmed that Fatboy-un has visited Beijing and met pres. Xi apparently pledged commitment to de-nuclearising the Korean peninsula. But Xinhua state news agency said that Kim had been in China on an “unofficial visit” from Sunday to Wednesday.

I suspect part of the deal was to give him these welcomes....likely moon will on his visit as well..which is next.
