When St. Petersburg journalism grad Vitaly Bespalov answered an online ad for a writer in 2014, he thought the gig at Russia's Internet Research Agency might help his fledgling career.
As he quickly learned, what he really signed up for was a job as a paid internet troll.
"They pose as people who are not really them," he told CBC News at his apartment in St. Petersburg. "By the second or third day, it was clear where I had landed and what this was actually."
Last month, U.S. special prosecutor Robert Mueller indicted 13 Russian nationals who worked at the so-called "troll factory" in St. Petersburg, accusing them of interfering in the 2016 U.S. election. The allegations include fabricating news and using false identities to sow discord in the United States ahead of the vote.

Social media should be about freedom of speech, but the biggest enemy of Socialism is 'free speech'. So how do you get rid of free speech? You start claiming that it isn't free speech... You start claiming that it is instead 'meddling' by exterior and nefarious sources... So now every time somebody is bashing Obama, or Hillary, or even the media... It's not free speech... It's meddling and needs to be 'dealt' with.
The slippery of Socialism is already destroying Canada... They censor free speech by dictating what you can and can't comment on. And American media giants are follow suite... Amazon, Google, Facebook... You either agree with them and their views, or your views are removed.

Well, I agree with the part about Obama “bad” anyway.
I cannot think of a single thing he did that benefited the USA.

This is so ridiculous and disgusting. The list of reasons why Hillary Clinton should never be President is very long, and includes criminal and deceitful behavior. Yet the media covered for her and provided her with the equivalent of free campaign commercials. If she worked at it, maybe she could have been a decent attorney, but she’s accomplished nothing positive in government - all while enriching herself not unlike a thief.
Her campaign set a record, spending 1.2 billion dollars while seeking the presidency. She also had the DNC and the FBI colluding on her behalf.
Trump, on the other hand, has been a target of the media incessantly, with over 90% negative media coverage, and has had the last administration, the Clinton campaign, the FBI, parts of his own party, and even a foreign spy colluding against him. Nonetheless, we are to believe that Hillary was ‘cheated’ out of the Presidency? What kind of sick joke is this?

If you were over drawn they would charge you a fee but you could continue to use your debit card.

Can a Mexican or Saudi or Chinese post political opinions on FB/Twitter about a candidate? If so, then why can't a Russian?

The US media has been harping on this terrible collusion. You know, working with Putin is the worst thing anyone can do. It's basically treason. Having ties to Russia? Taking money from unsavory KGB types? So bad. Just evil. All Americans are well informed about how awful Donald Trump is for doing such stuff.
And now the media is going to have to say, "Oops. Not Trump. The Clintons did all that stuff. This is a Democrat scandal."
It's going to be pretty hard to say, "Everybody does it, No big deal, this is old news, can we just move on."
There’s more evidence that Britain, Ukraine, and Australia directly meddled in the 2016 US election than the Russians.
He actually did one great thing! His stupidity inadvertently exposed all rats for who they really are, anti-American, immoral and selfish-driven trolls, and he also in advertently exposed the traitorous GOPe for who they are, cowardly status quo trolls. While only one thing, it was critical to get us to this place in time where Trump is our America-loving non-political leader.

He (unintentionally) encouraged patriots to buy huge quantities of guns and ammunition. That’s a good thing.

You’re being sarcastic here, right? Coz, regardless of the evidence, there’s no way the media would ever admit anything approaching this.
